"Aye, that how such lore is learned.  Some sage vivisects one of t'ese things, probably bunch of 'em, an figures out how t'ey do what t'ey do, an t'en writes it in a book for ot'er sages to read about.  Some use magic open up dangerous specimen like this, is safer.  I ain't got no magic, so I'd have to open one t'e hard way.  Not gonna though.  Animals ain't really my specialty, bein a physicker."

In reply to Jareth Mooncalled (msg # 756):

The quill Jocelyn retrieved could be used by the spell, the span of a hand on its foot long length has an oily residue.

Re: Below Junior House

Looks like the tip to almost the bottom has something on it... might require special handling at every step..., not sure it would be worth the troubles. Anyone got something like a quarrel case I could put this in?

Despie the quills, the rat's  skull is about a span wide, which shoud just fit through the bars. Rats can usuall  pass any where their heads can fit.

Mario continues to watch for movement while Jocelyn rests, taking a moment to look over the rat corpse from a safe distance.

"Yes, I guess we'll have to clean up the rest of these bodies, and soon.  Too bad we can't just bring the otties to them -- but probably more hazardous than the saving in labor would justify.

"Say, there isn't a way to burn them right here -- without smothering ourselves in the smoke, that is?"

OOC:  Did we ever return that wheelbarrow?  I don't remember anyone specifically doing so... in which case we still have it, and an outstanding debt...  Of course François and Evaine might have returned it when they left.

They returned it. They do business regular with the carter and didn't want to get into difficulty with him, as Frank already has a strike against him for returning it late on another occasion.
