Jareth unlocks the gate to the corridor, leaving closing the basement door to someone else.

"Should get real door put in here, if gonna keep storin stuff in t'e catchment tunnel."

"That would be, what, a day for a carpenter, maybe with an assistant?  Plus the material cost, of course.  Wonder if we could salvage a door someplace and save a couple copper?"

Mario uses his bow to measure the frame the grate fits in, pulling an arrow if need be.

"Looks like close to a shaft and a serving wide, and a string plus fletching plus a finger high."  He counts softly for a moment, then tosses the arrow up in the air.  It clatters to the floor, then vanishes.  "Never can get that timing just right.  Supposed to be a count of sixty after I draw it from the quiver, but I dare anyone to count at just the right speed."

"I expect it'll be after we take care of whatever's going on with the eye guy.  Three silver doesn't sound like a bad price, though, if the materials are included in that price."

Jareth just keeps leading the troop down the relatively straight path back to the Gate.

Mario stays close to Jareth, keeping close watch at the edges of the light.

As you approach, you can see faint light being cast by the perpetual twilight seepung out of the gate, and the minute glow of the runes that mark the perimeter of the portal.

"I don't mind saying, it makes me nervous to have that open behind us."

Through the bone gate you can see the familiar sea of bones, and a tower on the far shore. Something small and black is flying in the distance.

Nodwin keeps an eye on their surroundings while Jareth is figuring out their pathway.

"Aye.  T'e Ymid went through t'e metal door."

Jareth tears his eyes off the Gate and heads towards the door.

"Do we have a key for this door?"
