Not one to judge others moving bodies when he has had a number of them moved around today, Nodwin calls out in a friendly voice.

"Greetings strangers, how goes things?"

The man pulling the bundled body looks up and drops the package.
"Mesdammes and Mounseuirs, this is not what it seems. Paquette, mon cherie, get behind me. Lisette, to the gate."

"Holding his arms spread wide, Nodwin tries to calm them.

"Sorry to startle you. I understand how appearances can be deceiving, please don't be afraid.  We are the new owners of a set of buildings nearby and are eager to meet some of our neighbors."

Jareth hangs back letting Nodwin take center front, but he does give them the once (or even thrice) over.

Wondering what's caused the stop, Mario peeps past the group toward the lights in the front, and tries to listen to what's being said.

To no one in particular, and quietly, "Where in the world are they from?"

The childlike figure peers around from behind the tall man, who is fumbling with a rapier at his side.
"Monsieur Rudy, what is Paquette to do, there are so many them!"

The other woman steps behind the gate, pulling her hood lower.
"This would never have happened if he hadn't  pulled my hair. I told him not to."

Jareth steps past Nodwin with a hand upraised, "Whoa.  Let's not get hasty with t'e weapon.  We just passin by, wants no trouble with ya.  Don't really care what yer doing."

Noting the move to draw a sword, Brodak comes on guard, shield up in front of him and axe up and ready to swing.

Noting Brodak's readying, Mario sidesteps almost against the wall to get clearance past the group, and sets his feet, but doesn't pull the arrow from his quiver or raise his bow yet.  His right hand hovers near the fletching of his arrow, however.

"If that is the case, Messieur, then carry on, and we will be about the business of taking out the poubelle."


There is something peculiar about the hooded woman, her hood shifts oddly.

The small woman is not, in fact a child, but a mature halfling.

Jocelyns curiosity get's the best of her... she concentrates briefly

Mario concentrates his attention on the hooded woman, trying to catch a glimpse under the hood.

Jareth hangs out near the newcomers while the party passes and tries to strike up some small talk and a chance for some moneys...

"We passin t'e Oty pen, could maybe haul that dead guy for ya.  For small fee of course."

The woman's hood slips back, revealing a nest of vipers as hair on an otherwise beautiful  woman. She quickly  pulls it back up.

That clanging sound from far up the corridor has started again.

Mario flinches, covering his eyes with his free hand, then recovers.  Holding his hand out between himself and the hooded woman (in a position that obscures her face), he mutters, "I thought those were supposed to be hideous."

He fishes a coin out of his pouch and presses itinro Jareth's palm.

"Pleasure!  Ya ever need us, as Pastor... eh... Father?  Meh, as cleric Nodwin here," he indicates Nodwin, "said we acquired t'e big blockhouse on Rue de Gallo.  We be cleanin up t'e cult down here, but always on t'e look-out for ot'er stuff need doin'."

On being directly addressed, Mario drops his blocking hand and bows to the hooded lady.  "I apologize.  I had no idea there were more than the three sisters the Brothers told of as ancient myth.  Meeting you is a pleasant surprise.  I am Mario Crowfoot, archer."  He holds up his longbow as he straightens.
