Back to get the worm and drop off this orc guard secured in the catchment tunnel just outside our basement.

Mario waits for Nodwin, Jocelyn, Jareth, and the porters to pass, then follows, keeping watch to the rear.

You make your way back without incident. Where are you placing the sewer worker?

If the worm is still secure Jareth gets out a tarp and rope and directs the laborers to securely wrapping and tying the barrel, and then using some of the rope to bind the dead guard.

"Just in case t'ey left some delayed zombification on 'im."

Then while the laborers are loading the barrel into the wheel barrow, he'll consult his map.

"I suppose we ought to report the dead guard to the Hadereum.  Unless there is another group that he would have been working for.  Would he have been working for the Department of Sanitation and Aqueducts?"

"Probably a sewer worker, we should get someone deal with 'im tomorrow."

"Do you suppose he was also supposed to be feeding the otyughs?  After all, someone left the gate open, and apparently forgot to feed Otty..."

The orc was wearing gear typical of a sewer worker; he had the gaff and keys, along with the high boots, and was in a locked room adjacent to the catchment room and the cart storage.

"I do ken this be t'e orc young Otty referred to earlier.  Which mean t'ere are ot'er Otyughs goin hungry... an maybe on t'e lose.  An while Otyughs always claim to be hungry even if t'ey just ate, when t'ey go to long without eatin t'ey get really dangerous."

Jareth puts his maps away.  "Yeah, Nodwin, yer right, we need to alert t'ey sewer guild tonight after deliverin t'e worm.  If t'ere are more Otyughs lose, t'e workers are in danger."

The corridor you are in is three yards wide, the one you are turning into
is for yards wide and has some pieces of decorative tile along the shoulder. The flooring is in large slabs.

The map would indicate that the nearest connections between levels is a distance away.

Then unless someone has to use the garderobe, we're heading off a distance away.

Thes corridor follows a path parallel to the wet tunnel, and soon you come to an intersection with another catchment room.

Jareth notes it and unless it seems relevant* or intersting** will try to move the group along.  If nothing else he will check to see if his keys work here... just in case.



* Should this be where the stairs up are?

** Unaccompanied loot laying around.  Or a stair room down.
