"You raise a good point.  Winslow, especially, sounds more like a human name.

She mutters barely more that a syllable as she moves up quickly to touch the wound before the ogre can object.

The ogre was not seriously injured, but had a bruise where Aoife struck him and had sustained shock from the transformation. Nevertheless, the healing restores him somewhat.
The ogre puffs out his chest, and glaresat  whoever has his mace, his eyes narrowing as he cracks his knuckles.




Ooc: the spell made him fail a fright check... and I just rolled a 5 for morale...

"Nothing...if you play nice. You are playing nice, right, and not looking for a fight?  I love to get up to fishy mischief in a fight.. "

Seeing that this could become a mess quickly, Mancini decides to try a little fast talk.

"Borug,"Mancini said, as he focused on the large ogre, "I thought we were all friends here. No one's here to hurt you.  I'm sure whatever the ginger is trying to cast over there is not meant for you."  He turned towards Aoife and with a knowing look, "Right?"

He turns back to Borug.  "But, as a sign of good faith, among friends, could you please calm down?"

"Yes, please do -- if you stay calm and work with us, we won't need to hurt you or turn you back into a fish.  All we want for now is to talk to Fergush and Margala."

"Like I said, friendly ogre, no fish."

Mancini was getting peeved.  How could you strike a bargain with the creature if your group keep threatening it every time you turned around?

"Borug, I promise they won't turn you into a smelly fish.  They're just tired, and obviously don't know what they're saying.  Maybe we can help each other out.  You help us find the rest of your group, and we give you something in return.  Say, what do ogres like, anyways?"

Ardenas glares at Mancini and shakes his head vigorously, but too late to stop the contradiction.  He shakes his head again, this time slowly, with downcast eyes.

In reply to Mancini  (msg # 351):

"FOOD"

He walks over to Aoife and keeping his voice down to a low whisper, "I said you couldn't turn him into a fish, but I didn't say you couldn't turn him into something equally odious. What else could you turn him into if he doesn't keep up his end?"

Mancini thought for a second.  "Is there a treaty between the guild and the ogres?"  He was a man of his word, but he was not going to spend any more than he had to, especially if it was going  to come out of his pocket.

"All I got is a fish... But I don't always have to obey you...if he gets nasty, I will disregard your orders, you can be sure of that." she says in her usual voice with a cheeky grin. You notice her staff still glows eerily.

"Borug, I'm not sure Mancini here can control the little ginger.  I think it would be better if you introduce us to Fergush and Margala and help us convince them, along with Winslow and Druck, not to fight.  Otherwise, I can't be sure you won't wind up as sushi."

She asks in a disturbingly cheerful tone.
