"I suppose an alternative might be for Fergush to come along to meet the artificer, but it might require waiting until he's rested and healed enough to walk a little."

"If Oly knew how to use a rapier, I could lend him mine until we fixed the maul for Fergush.  Otherwise", Mancini sighed, "I guess we'll have to haul an ogre to see an artificer."

Mancini started to rub his temples.  "Heavy is the head...", he mutters to himself.

He turns to Fergush.  "I think a trade might be in order..."

Mancini reaches into his backpack and pulls out his rapier.  "Here.  I will return soon with your fixed maul, but until then, accept this humble token of my good will to the ogre clan."

Ardenas watches the exchange, then stoops to lift the handle of the maul.

"This would be easier to haul if it had wheels on it."  He looks around.  "Hilerno, you've been pretty quiet.  Do you think you can haul this, or will we need to go hire a cart after we get it up the stairs?"  Then he looks at Mancini.  "Or is there a way to the Guild gate from here without having to haul this monster up to the street?"

"Yes, let's get going.  I am starting to forget what civilization looks like...", then remembering he is in the company of 4 very large ogres quickly added, "so we can fix our good friend Fergush's maul."

(OOC: Rolled an 8 on a 15 Area Knowledge (Northport).  GM, is there a quicker way to the guild without having to haul the maul all over creation?)

"Oh, I don't think Mancini has any plans along those lines.  This does, however, seem like a long-term solution to having every group you run out replaced by another.  Get rid of the trolls, you get ogres.  Get rid of the ogres, then what?

"At least you can reason with ogres, if you approach things correctly, and I found Mancini quite a reasonable fellow."
