Into the winecellars once more
Holding out his helmet lamp to take a light from the torch, Ardenas says, "This'll keep my hands free, and give me enough light to see where I'm going."
He slips off his backpack -- not using the quick-release feature, this time. He pats his delver's webbing, making sure his shuriken and paut are where he expects them, along with one bottle of oil for his lamp, then steps over by the ladder.
He holds his helmet lamp off to one side as he looks down the shaft to check for existing lights; if he sees none, he'll clip the lamp to his leather helm and start climbing down, as quietly as possible.
