In reply to Aoife (msg # 832):

The priest's eyes narrow."In addition to the licenses, I can offer a silvered weapon to each of you, but only normal pay in conjunction with that. Ys, the task is to escort and assist the foreign demon hunter while discouraging any proselytizing."

"Presuming we accept, will we need to reach a separate agreement with our charge concerning loot?  Do demons routinely carry anything of value in the first place?  Having never encountered a demon, nor studied them, I don't know their habits."

(Ooc: Diplomacy roll 15 on skill 16. Roll passes.)

Mancini narrows his eyes into a glare and looks in Aoife's direction.

Composing himself once again, Mancini turned his attention back to the Plutocrat. "I apologise for the bluntness of some of my colleagues. I believe they were just trying to understand your proposal a little more clearly."

He paused for a second to make some notes. " So, to clarify, we are to babysit the demon huntress and prevent her from converting as much as possible. For this, the Guild will receive the liscences. The crew will receive usual pay plus a silvered weapon suitable to their skill set, to be kept at the end of mission. Loot, including but not limited to demon parts, will be ours to keep. Have I missed anything?"

"Guild receives the Licenses?  These are licenses to hunt the undercity, are they not?  Why should the Guild receive them when we're the ones taking the risks of dealing with a celestial and hunting demons?

"And 'usual pay?'  I'm with Aoife; I'd rather have a figure in coin.  What's 'usual' might change without notice."

You make your way to temple hill. There you find the domed granite structure of the Hadereum, that seems partially buried into the hill.
Carved over the enteance is the phrase "Abandon Hope, All Ye Who Enter"
Purple robed acolytes stand nervously by the entrance, and as you walk along the mosaic floor, the plutocrat  raises his hand to stop.
"Touch my robe while passing here, or regret it."

In reply to Oly (msg # 847):

You are brought into an antechamber. There you are greeted with a surprising sight,

Standing before you is a gigantic woman with four arms. She is muscular, about 7 feet tall, with obsidian black skin, flaming red hair, and has three eyes and a mouth full of tushes. Despite the horrifying features, and probable ogrish blood, she is merely unattractive, and you almost neglect to notice that she is only wearing a loincloth, a garland of marigolds and coral beads at her wrists and ankles. A faint golden glow surrounds her, and she carries a large and wicked spear.

Her three eyes widen at your appearance.

Aoife complies on the way in.

Assuming her shilleagh is now also silver coated, she walks in, brandishing it, and draws herself to her full 17" of height, made comical beside the massive woman.

"This is the dear lady we are to escort? Don't worry my dear...nothing will get past me! I will keep you safe! I do so like your dress, though. It is very...you! The marigolds and coral go beautifully with your lovely black skin. Is that Black coral I see? Rare, I hear it is...though you may be a little cold in this climate. Should we go dress shopping? I see a pair of shoes might be nice for when it snows next...I do love shoe shopping, but they never have my size."

She has a cheeky, mischievous grin initially that fades into a genuine smile when she starts to talk about her outfit, and become even a bit excited as the topic approaches shopping...

01:43, Today: Mancini rolled 12 using 3d6.  Savoir-Faire (High Society) 15. Both roll passes.)

Mancini, sensing that his best course of action, was to follow the group, arrived at the Haedereum Hill and did as the Plutocrat instructed.  When he saw Kallima, he was utterly shocked and amazed.  No words could describe the strange mixture of feelings he was experiencing.  But, being the bureaucrat and diplomat, that he was, Mancini composed himself and attempted to do his job.

"Greetings on behalf of the Guild, Demon Huntress", Mancini began, with a reverent bow. "We heard from the esteemed Plutocrat one such as yourself was in town, and wished to see if you could use our services.  It seems dark forces do not wish for Northport to become the civilized town I believe, and the Guild believes, it should be.  Is there anything I or one of my crew can help you with while in our domain?"

The lesser divinity bows also in greeting.
 She smiles toothily at Aoife.
"I understand you are to keep me 'out of mischief' while aiding me on sending demons back to the infernal regions. My name is Kalima, after my ancestress, and a hunter of demons as she.  Who is this dear creature? I know not all of your kin are free from the taint of the pit, but you seem likeable enough. I might take you up on some shopping, although I brought no coin with me, my native climate is considerably warmer, I could do with a full Sari for warmth. I am given to understand that my distant cousin visited these parts while unclad, but i have more modesty than she. As to what I need, I could eat for sure, but we need to  hunt."

Belatedly remembering his manners, Ardenas goes to one knee before Kalima.

"Lady, I would gladly run to swiftly obtain a, uh, sah-ree for you, if you will explain what such a thing is.  It might, however, be difficult to find one that fits you, as you are so much taller than most human women.  Perhaps one made for an ogress -- do she ogres wear sah-rees?"

In reply to Ardenas Barehand (msg # 855):

Aoife bows in reply to her bow, blushing a little.

"Oh, where are my manners? I am Aoife, a Leprechaun and Priestess of Cerrunos.

While I revere nature, Demons doubtless do not belong here, so I share your disdain of them.

I do have some spare cash, so I would be glad to take you to the clothing merchants I know of to find a Sari. I must confess, I am not familiar with that type of clothing, but I assume from your context it is a dress of some form, right? We can get some food for you while we are there, though travel rations are barely an appropriate use of the term. But there is no point hunting demons on an empty stomach if it can be helped Shall we go to sort out supplies first?.
"

She moves to offer her arm, before realizing that the height difference would make that impossible, and stands there looking a little awkwardly, not sure of whether to turn and lead the way or to follow Kalina.

The nearest cloth merchants you know of are slightly north and east of the guild, at the border of the merchant and redlight districts, all the way across town.
