"Why thank you, Ardenas", Mancini says with a nod.  "I try to keep a level head when Guild matters are concerned."

He turns to Mr. Du Clair.  "As soon as I meet with an artificer to get this maul fixed, I'll have the ogres begin active sentry of the undercellars.  Pay them well, treat them with respect, and they'll do what we need them to."

"Then deal with that quickly. Have you already negotiated rates with them, and need you be present for that?"

"I shall."  Mancini then pauses nervously and continues, " I have given them free room and board for the area they protect, as well as the right to kill and eat any vermin and intruders on sight.  While I am visiting the artificer, I will also need to visit with one of the Guild wizards to create an item so that the ogres do not attack any of our guys by mistake.  As far as my personal presence, I hope not, as I'm sure I have other important Guild matters, but to be on the safe side, I will consult the library on Ogre Blood Oaths to see if there are any loop holes I need to be aware of."

"The original problem was that the kobolds wouldn't go back into the cellars after their run-in with the ogres."  Ardenas turns to duClaire.

"Now, as long as the ogres can tell the kobolds belong there, we shouldn't have further problems.  Convincing the kobolds of that might take some doing, though.  I'd guess we'll have to escort the first shift down to meet the ogres to convince them the ogres are ready to play nice.  After that, the word should get around."

"Yeah, I am pretty sure that we remember that getting the kobolds back to work was the deal.

Say, the blue one that murdered all the trolls, you sent them? I am sure the trolls would love to find out who was behind it all...so if you are wanting to change our original agreement, perhaps we should make room for money to keep our mouths shut. I met some of the trolls at the end of my last mission...they were not happy about the whole affair.

" If the matter were to come before the Hadereum, it would be readily apparent that I was properly in possession of the deeded property, had all of the suitable permits in place, and that there was no indication of any claim to ownership of any of the property above or below ground, after the last aclaimed heir of the Feenoir family died during  the plague. All of the documentation supports me.
As to silence, the affair has already become common knowledge, and an arrow I had verified to be of trollish make had been fired into my doorsill three days ago. The vile creatures know it was me who had them ousted, and have already made their play. I have increased my guard, and if you were to bring this matter to a crier in hopes of besmirching my name, I know that Camilla of the guild has my ear, and a bad review from a client does wonders for ones prospects. Bon Soire."

"Wait, Aoife.

"Mr. duClaire, what is it that you believe we haven't accomplished yet?  Just getting the kobolds back to work to finish the clean-up?  I think we can resolve that on the return trip after getting Fergush's maul repaired.  Is there more?"
