The tray bearer stops by the half door and opens it, passing in the tray of dirty glasses and recieving an empty one. He turns, and heads back down, oblivious to both of you.

Iskander sneaks into the back of the kitchen, near the storage and pantry.He tries to observe the new area for anything noteworthy, but doesn't see anything...

The entrance to the kitchen is a half door,  ie a window three feet off the ground. You can try folliwing him through to the casino...

After taking stock of the area, Iskander surmised where the cellar might be, and looks for the entrance below...

The server with his tray is about to push open the double doors at the base of the stairs.


The cellar, while accessible from the kitchen, and probably at the same depth as the casino, is not accessible from this stairway.

Eg to enter the cellar, one would have to enter through the kitchens via the first floor of the restaurant.

You two did not explore the first floor, entering via the second and taking the back staurs. These staurs pass the kitchen, but only at a pass-through window.

OOC: I thought the first floor was where all the brawling and diners were. I guess we go through those doors, through the casino, after all...

Iskander sneaks back to investigate the other way, when he realizes the buildings compartmentalization, properly.

As the waiter carries through the tray, Iskander is able to step through the door, and past a guard who is looking over at a woman standing behind a barred window.

The guard on the other side of the door is looking over at several people standing afound a table. The room is large, and lit by red paper lanterns suspended over gaming tables. There are a few doors, including a pair flanked by two men with strange helmets, and a metal faced one that opens into the cage like area where the woman is handing out tiles to a customer.

The guards by the cage and the doors are equipped like numbah three son was, in medium lamelar armor, and armed with swords and naginatas.

Iskander sneaks across to get to the cellar, via the kitchen.

Iskander assessed the situation and made a tactical plan, for a defense.

Are you climbing into the kitchen by way of the half door 3 feet up, or by going up the stairs, back to the restaurant and down to the kitchen on the first floor?
You could have walked  (unseen)straight past the guards, who were staring at table and cage action. I don't understand  what you are doing.

You are now to the left of the doors, as the left hand guard is looking straight out at a gamblung table, and the right ghand guard is looking to
the right at the cage.

In the center of the room, lit by lanterns hanging over each table, are
eight gaming tables. The room is about 12 yards to a side, and has pillars supporting the roof. Over to the left is a bar with two severs and some stools, to the right is the cage area, and in the back of the room, another set of doubke doors with two more guards. They are also looking at the gaming tables.
