Chye stares at the dwelling, but does not approach.

Chou-Zhen having seen Ales change his appearance, waits for panic to clear the dining room.  He keeps an eye on Isuel and Jin, but makes no effort to stay close to them.

Meanwhile, customers shriek and point at the wailing drowned maiden...

Chou-Zhen steps up to the dining room entrance, keeping to the side (out of the path of a panic rush).  He shouts toward the interior: "It's a lìguǐ, a pestilence ghost!  Everyone watch out!"

Chye stands finds a place to stand, out of the way. When the people flee, he'll make like a "brave warrior" going to see what the trouble is, and head inside!

Chye sees the gaijin, and in the confusion and choas, hides, and sneaks toward the man from behind...

Ales moves closer, wailing and moaning.  He stops within range, casting Fear on the individual.

Stepping inside (and clear of the doorway via a sidestep), Chou-Zhen holds out a hand in a "stop" gesture, and shouts at the man who looks to be casting.

"No!  If you strike it, you will spread the pestilence!"

Chye is closing, and is going to attempt to knock the man out, from behind...

Chye cannot approach from behind, as the individual, who Ales recognizes as his rival Bresnark, has his back to the wall and is behind a long table.
The mage ignores Ales spell, and raises his fireball to hurl it!

Chye moves out of their way, and actually helps the infirm and elderly, so they aren't knocked down and trampled... seeing as he was too late to intervene with the wizard.

Having successfully dodged the fireball, Ales begins immediately to prepare himself to protect himself in case Bresnak has any more nasty spells up his sleeve.

Chou-Zhen bucks the crowd to step further inside.  He closes the range with the spellcaster, whip ready in his right (weak) hand as he watches the caster's gestures, listens to his words.

A shape begins to form next to the mage even as the fireball sizzles on the floor. A man sized transparency slowly begins to fill in and solidify, until a familiar looking warrior you have seen Bresnark accompanied by before stands beside him, a creation. Bresnark narrows his eyes at Ales' alternate form.
