Iskander is badly wounded, and makes a retreat.
Iskander caught a thrust to the torso, piercing his armor. He pulls off, the blade, and withdraws from the melee.

Chou-Zhen dances to one side, but fails to completely clear the flaming breath of the dragon man.  The flames burn away silk ribbon ornamentation and blister the lacquer on the armor.  Chou-Zhen lets out a scream that resembles an angry cat whose tail has been stepped on as smoke rises around him.  Queue lashing, he raises his left hand as the crackling energy he holds there continues to swell.  His gaze is fixed on the dragon man whose breath he just endured.

The attack totally knocks Ales off guard and tries desperately to parry the attack with his scimitar.  However, the attack was better coordinated than Ales thought, and his scimitar is unreadied.

And, in the attempt to defend himself, Ales is distracted and loses control of his fireball, it landing wildly instead of hitting one of the dragon men as he wanted.  Ales grunts in disgust and gets back up to aid his comrades.

Iskander spoke, as Chye came near:"Let's ..ungh.. get behind the bar. If I can patch myself, I have a potion with me... I may yet be of use."

Guarding the retreat, Chye replies:
"Chye use bow, once we get behind bar. You take care of that wound. Those ashigaru you pay.. They help us?"

Jin turns and swats the guard who stabbed Iskander in the back of his head, knocking him prone, where he lues twitching.

Rhe turncoats reform their formation, and advance on the other two guards that struck Ales and Chye.

Iskander looks over his shoulder at the renegades, forming up against the others.
"It appears so.  I'll see to it they get a favorable report, if we get out of here with what we came for, alive!"

"Enough of this!"  Chou-Zhen releases his lightning at the dragon man who had just singed him.

Iskander gets down behind the bar, in a sitting position, and he begins removing his jacket.

Both dragonmen are stunned.

Behind the bar is a low doorway a yard square in the back wall.
The carpet around Chou is burning.

Chye notices the flames, and looks around the bar for a jug of ale, or water he can throw on the fire!

Chou-Zhen speaks a word, and lightning in the form of a whip springs from his left hand.  He steps toward the nearest dragon man.

"We need to finish these, or immobilize them."

In reply to Chye Isuel (msg # 398):

Chye spots a few earthenware jugs.

The renegades start backing the two remaining guards toward the double doors. Jin snatches one of the stunned dragonmen and knocks his head into the other. Both drop their weapons.

Chye sniffs the jugs to make sure they aren't flammable baijiu, and if satisfied, will rush forwards with both and douse the flames, if he isn't in range of polearms. If he would rush headlong into range, he waits instead.

Iskander will remove his light scale, once he gets his jacket off. (OOC: not sure how many turns this will take) once the armor is off, he will use his kit, and apply first aid, and quaff his healing potion.

Chou-Zhen surveys the room, looking for any remaining active guards.

"Can anyone spare a healing potion?  I am a little cooked, though thanks to the Daimyo, my armor has spared me worse."

Iskander heard Chou, as he looked at the potion tucked between his knees. Alas, it was his only one, and he had been pierced through his back, from behind, and was gravely injured.
"Chye?..ugn!.. does the bar stock any potions, or do you have any extra?"

Chye having bar tended before, knew it wasn't unheard of, and also, other things might be behind there as well...

Ales moved into position and started casting, aiming squarely for one of the dragonmen.

Ooc : Rolled 8 on Flame Jet,  skill 14. Roll passes.
