OOC: Iskander meant, he is going towards Chye, who is checking the other door for traps.

The iron studded red lacquer doors appear to be locked. They have a small peephole with an iron cover on the inside. Darknesz fills the hallway toward the opposite exit,and the overly loud sound of the restaurant  muffles the sound of starlings slamming into the wall in the darkness.

Jin pushes tbrough tbe darkness, the small chest under his arm.

Iskander tries the key he found, to try and open the locked door.

Chye steps back, readying his weapon in anticipation, as Iskander tries to unlock the door.

Chou-Zhen stops in the main casino, well clear of the patch of darkness, and waits for Chye, Iskander, Ales, and Airis to follow.

"Best we pause here, Jin, in case there is more opposition as we exit.  Put that chest down on one of the tables."

Airis will ready her sword and stand back.

the one he found on the demon. Chye has the dragon men's keys.

Chye seeing Iskander's difficulties, begins trying the keys the dragon men had.
"Let Chye try these.."

"They cannot have gotten lost in just two or three yards of darkness, in a hallway."  Chou-Zhen raises his voice.  "Iskander!  Chye!  Airis!  This way!"

Chye bellows: (penetrating voice)
"Hold your rickshaw, Chye try and open this last door!"

Chou-Zhen's queue lashes for a moment.  "What part of 'we are done here' did you not hear?"

"Chou, I get it you are tired.  But we need to make sure that these boxes are the only loot Akira has around here.  If it will help, I will give you my stash of paut.  I just think there is more going on here than meets the eye, and damn it, my curiosity has gotten the best of me."

"Paut will not heal my burns.  We have a heavy box full of coin, and it will be clear to Akira Kumo No where he may lay the credit for the act.  We have accomplished the mission we were assigned.  Further risk is beyond our authority from our Daimyo."

Airis  looks at Chou-Zhen "You are right. We got caught up in searching for more. Let us depart and get out of here. We can rest and come back"

Chou-Zhen's queue continues lashing.  "What is happening there?  Chye, Iskander, and Ales will be our death."

He speaks a word, and the lightning whip in his left hand is replaced by a small crackling ball of energy.

Not surprisingly, the dragonman's keys fit the lock of the red lacquer door.

"Are those three drinking?"  Chou-Zhen, queue still lashing and lightning crackling in his hand, walks back through the darkness to check on Chye, Ales, and Iskander.
