Satisfied that the waiter will be okay, he leaves him propped up by a wall to recover on his own. Chye then turns to prepare an assault with the others, as they rejoin the group.

Ales follows Jin, not sure how he can be of assistance.  However, once he saw the warriors, he began casting a fireball.

Chou-Zhen, after seeing Jin and Ales safely down the stairs, turns toward the street entrance.  He flips his leather whip three times, each time catching a loop to coil the whip, then fastens it to his belt with the toggle catch.  He gestures with his left hand, and another ball of crackling energy forms there.  He holds out his right hand, speaks a word, and his lightning whip springs into that hand.  Then he grins at the ahsigaru forming up outside -- a most unpleasant expression.

From the shadows, Iskander tried to see where their escape and means to haul their filthy lucre away, was. He had thought there would be a cart arranged for them.. perhaps he would need to climb, to get a better vantage point.14:12, Today: Iskander rolled 13 using 3d6.  stealth - 16.

Iskander quietly scaled a nearby building to observe, and find the horses and cart.
He could hear Chye's distinctive cry, from the street.

While a cart was mentioned, no arrangement was ever made to secure one.

The Ashigaru have reformed, with some reinforcements... there are 8 getting into a hesitant formation... they must be driven by some greater fear than the disturbing visage of Chou-Zen armed with lightning, Ales conjuring fire, and Jin lowering his box to the ground to get a two handed grip on his tetsubo.

Chou-Zhen lashes the air with his lightning whip while choosing a target in the front of the ashigaru formation.  He begins to aim his lightning.

Jin swings forward from one size and smashes down one of the pole weapons, his face a mask of anger and disgust.

Finally, after being broken down to less than of a third of their numbers by obviously superior supernaturally augmented foes, Jin's social regard finally tips the scales, and the remnant of Akira No Aku's forces retreat.

Chye bellows mockingly as they retreat.
"Bwahahahahaha! Osssssssu!!"

Chou-Zhen releases his lightning over their heads as they go, then turns to Jin.

"Once we're past needing to fight, I can make that box lighter to carry, probably for long enough to get back to the Daimyo's palace -- if you wish."

Airis will charge after Chou-Zhen, looking for any enemy to attack, she has her sword out and ready.

Chou-Zhen waits a few seconds for his lightning whip to expire, then uncoils his leather whip and twitches it to touch Jin's foot.  He speaks two words, then withdraws the whip near his own feet.

"Everything you carry will now weigh a quarter less than normal, for so long as the spell lasts.  I ought to be able to continue it for at least a half hour, perhaps a little longer if needed."

Chye follows the group, staying vigilant and near Jin.

Ales travels with the group, keeping his fireball active in case the group runs into trouble on the way back.

Chye looks at the bloodied chest, caked with bits of grue.
"Not know if we should clean the chest up before delivering, to Sakemoko-sama, or to leave as is, as a message of proof, to the carnage we have wrought to bring it forth, as he has ordered."

"If we were to clean it, we should do so after we reach the palace.  Every delay risks Akira Kumo No's people catching up to us and trying to take it back."

Once we're moving, Chou-Zhen will also fill his left hand with a fireball.
