In reply to Goran the Marked (msg # 390):

Hograth pauses.

"I guess so."

He steps back to a wall and looks around (including up and behind him) as he waits.

The chanting reaches a cresendo, and they step away from the pyre. The priest raises his hand and fires a sunbolt at the oil soaked cloth and ignites it.

If the ritual has concluded, Goran approaches in a respectful manner.

"Excuse me, we are seeking information on anything suspicious that has been happening in this temple complex."

"I am sorry to hear that, and for your loss. With luck we will bring justice to those who slayed her as part of our purpose here.

"Could you tell us the circumstances in which you found the slain priestess? There could be clues to her killers."

"She was attacked shortly after midnight as she slept, stabbing her repeatedly, then they dragged her into the reflecting pool and left her to drown and bleed to death. At some point, her eyes were cut out. I know they were saturnines, because one left their knife, sickle shaped with a cross shaped handle."

In reply to Hograth Podkarmen (msg # 402):

The portico has an exit to the edge of the grotto, the far side of which has the burning funereal pyre. The smoke is oddly sweet.
There is an archway into the inner sanctum, which open to the east so that the Sun's first rays can strike it, and has stairs down from which you ascended. The grotto is on one of the temple hills, and i n the distance to the southeast you can see the dome you entered by.

In reply to Hograth Podkarmen (msg # 413):

You make your way back down below the grotto of Eos and into the ubdercity proper. Near the intersection with the sputhern end of the temple hill access tunnels, you find a damaged area, where one of the tiled tunnel sections has crumbled away, leaving a yawning three yard wide by one yard high gap in the wall beside the gutter, through which you can see down... there are deep claw marks in the masonry, and Urun can smell something reptilian.
