The Dismal Tower

Here at this fortified library, The Brotherhood of Sages keep their headquarters and library. Aethelbert, Bertrand, Celifoux, Davera, and Emmet are often found here consulting, although one must check in with the scribes. Access to the stacks is limited to members of the brotherhood, and otherise costs $20 per hour to peruse.

The Dismal Tower

Haveron trotted up, lumbering with a grim expression pasted across his face. His pleasant demeanour had evaded him now that his mind was his own and when he got to the base of the tower he shrugged off the great shield on hi sback with a huff.

"Alright, we're here. he said without the usual melody to his voice.

Then, stepping forward he made his way to one of the scribes, expecting Amelia to stand by his shield and make sure no quick fingered brigands thieved from him.

"'Morning to you. We're here to speak with one of the sages he'd said plainly.

In reply to Haveron Stormwal (msg # 2):
The scribe looks upas if resentful for being interrupted in his copywork.
The document he is reproducing sseems to be illuminated, and his work is quite accurate in its imitation.
"And what sort of questions have you got for the Brotherhood of Sages?"

Rather than the tone Haveron was irritated by the look of the scribe, like he wasn't there to communicate with visitors, the annoyance came through in his tone as he spoke.

"I'm here to speak with a sage. The matter of topic is for their ears and it is their wisdom I seek in these questions. he said in the manner he'd heard his father address many people who had sought to deviate from proper social etiquette. It was perhaps a little heavy handed, but ultimately the unecessary animosity from a book writer who had chosen spent his life quietly reading about the stories of great people and great mysteries wrikled Haveron - perhaps unecessarily.

He added after a moment stroking the short beard on his chin. It's about a location around these parts

"I ask in order to direct you to a sage who specializes in the topic. There is more to this than geography, and if it was a truly local matter, you would have sought out the Hadereum."

"Please frame the specifics of your querry so that I can best durect it to the correct sage. I recognize your preference for privacy if not secrecy, but I have a code of honor that embraces discrecion, and in all likelihood, I am the one the sage in question will send to collect reference material."
