Is the rabble ten meters or more away from us?

Aegis slings his bow over his shoulder and secures his shield to his arm, drawing one of his throwing axes. He stands and breaks out from his hiding spot, raising the axe into a throwing position.  He aims at the man standing next to the one who whistled and throws his axe, aiming for the man's chest.

Those who were advancing toward the shanties are only four yards away from them, the rabble will be on them in another round.


Aegis will be three rounds out unless he makes a fastdraw roll for axe (if not, or if he doesn't  have the skill, he is 1st round: shouldering bow, round 2: readying shield, readying axe, round three throwing or striking)

If he can fastdraw the axe he is 2 rounds out.

The second pursuer is drawing a weapon, and stepping to the side.

OOC:  I'll just leave it as is, because of No fastdraw skill for my axe. I'll just have my next three turns alrdy sorted.

The two stalkers  (X for dead and S) did not act until they reached the line of stones...
 which mark the edge of bowshot from the city wall. the rest of you are grouped in "Yall"
and everyone leaving by way of the gate was marked by the rabble

Reanna hoped to reach the rabble before all hell broke loose. She curses, and will seek cover to her right, out of the way of the rabble, readying her crossbow.

OOC: This would be round two for aegis, readying shield and axe. He is still in cover as well though I imagine they have a general idea of where the shot came from.

The armed rabble surely wouldn't know anything. Their shadowers, though, might - and with only one of them left, there wasn't really a choice. Darius raised his right hand and, with a gesture, black ice began engulfing the stalker.

Results:
- It's a quick contest vs the shadower's HT or will with Darius' MoS being 4.
- If successful, the shadower will be bound (plus engulfing (BS40); quick contest of ST vs 24 to break free (this also costs 1 FP). If he does not succeed, he will be unable to do anything but spells. He can repeat that attempt every ten seconds.) This should pretty much keep them out of the fight.

Melchizidek walks calmly back past the line of stones.

The rabble, upon seeing their leaders dead or frozen, and bolts of lightning flickering about, seem to lose some of their enthusiasm, but one, too close to retreat, swings a makeshift club at Masugatan, wiffing past him.

OOC: post was retconned since Darius handled my original target.

Aegis breaks from cover, sizing up the incoming attackers. He raises his axe over his shoulder, readying it for a throw at the lead man in the group of rabble. He aims for center mass again, and flings the axe, hard. The axe connects with a satisfying thwack and blood flies.

Reanna steps back and raises her crossbow, aiming at the head of thug near, but not nearest, to Masugatan (thug5?).

"Drop your weapon and surrender, or die!" She demands.

"We need one alive! Don't kill them all, protect yourselves, but give them no ground!" Aegis says to the group, loud enough to be heard.

In his most terrifying monster voice, with lightning whip in hand,  Dne shrieks, “Surrender or die!”
