OOC: IC, I don't think there's a reason to not divide everything equally. OOC, I'm fine with both.

OOC. I'm fine with everything being split equally, unless he doesn't pull his weight. It's kinda a big bounty. Everyone's got their part to play

Occ
When it comes to pay from an emploer, pay is based on pt level. When it comes to shares, allies get partial shares, players at any level should get full. It helps get people better armor faster etc.

Shelling out $10 in coin to urchins in and around this place gets some notice.. make per rolls!

Since Masugatan contributed almost all of his money, he’ll want a full share.  Don’t worry about him pulling his weight, however... those points that were put into Hard To Kill are there for a reason.

Fair enough. Sounds like an even share for all then.

The next morning you make your way toward the gate, and notice a few questionable individuals trailing you, moving against the incoming traffic, and keeping pace. None of them look familiar.

As they were moving through the streets, even Darius could notice their followers. "Those look friendly", he whispered.

Re: Stalking Balar

Aegis looks back, careful to not be too obvious that he's looking for their stalkers. He looks back to Darius and nods.
"They sure are bold. Not trying to hide their presence or nothing. Mayhaps, me and masugatan can sneak off the road and trail our pursuers, they may link up with more of their companions. It would be nice to have them surrounded a bit when they do attack. If one of you spell slingers could come with us that would be even better," Aegis says quietly, making sure all of  his companions can hear him.
OOC: Can I do a perception check to see how many there are, what they're armed with?

Melchizadek will take the halter of the donkey, unless someone else is more qualified.

In reply to Dne Utrotare (msg # 143):

"I take it you have never hunted. If you threaten the prey, it runs away. So stop being threatening unless you are just out for a walk. We do not kill them in the city, or we have the whole city watch down on us as it is illegal. Wait until you are outside the city walls...preferably out of sight of the city...which is where I am headed now."

Re: Stalking Balar

Aegis picks his pace up, exiting the city gates about 30 yards ahead of the group with the mule. He stops for a second and places his helmet on his head as he scans the road.
He attempts to sneak off of the road and find a good vantage point, intending to watch the group from afar.

00:09, Today: Aegis rolled 13 using 3d6 ((6,2,5)).
Stealth: DX/A [2] 14

Barely find a decent hiding spot, he crouches and pulls his longbow and an arrow out, scanning the road.

In reply to Aegis (msg # 146):

Reanna responds by dropping back. She had never really walked that closely with the group since she was wanting to see the effects of her story, but on noticing the eyes on them, she dropped back even further, looking like a normal traveler who just happened to be going that direction, just a little more slowly.

Darius kept close to the main group, but kept his distance to the mule. On the few occasions where he didn't, the animal snarled and put its ears on.

Re: Stalking Balar

In reply to Dne Utrotare (msg # 149):

A number of those heading out the gate pass you and stay in a ttight group. Of the three behind you, one fades back into the crowd and avoids the guards. The other two are walking very slowly, and seem to be looking for something just off the side of the road.  Brush has been cut back outside the city wall, in part for defense, in part to make space for the feastday fairs that are held out of city limits.

At the treeline, fifty yards out, you can see a small number of huts and shanties. Your pursuers are looking in that direction.

Re: Stalking Balar

Keeping low to the ground, Aegis starts to move toward the small village outside of the gate, watching the men intently. He makes sure to keep the rest of the party within visual range of himself and stops about halfway to the villa, posting up again in a kneeling position, bow across his lap, trying to remain hidden.

16:01, Today: Aegis rolled 10 using 3d6 ((4,2,4)). Stealth: DX/A [2] 14

Melchizedek will lead the mule, taking notes of nearby places to tie it up if needed, but opting instead to tie the rope around his waist, with a quick release like a shoelace if needed.

Masugatan sticks close to the priest.  He’s ready to draw his blade at a moment’s notice, and part of him hopes that it comes to that.

Reanna will make for the huts, as quietly as possible, and never clearly looking at the mule and those with it, but observing it with peripheral vision.
