Re: Near the bone gate

Mario frowns at the arrow and its wound.

"Barbed arrow.  Does as much damage coming back out as it did going in."

He releases the fletching, as his eyes widen, then he reaches down and pulls one of his silvered tipped arrows from his second quiver and lays the silver on the man's skin alongside the shaft of the barbed arrow.  "Don't know if this will do anything, but..."

The silver has no effect on the man's skin. Meanwhile, Mario still has a grip on the arrow.

"This arrow seems to affect him more than the other weapons did -- he reacted when I disturbed it.  I think we need to get it out."

He reaches down to return the silver arrow to its quiver.

A good hard yank could probably free the arrow. The other weapons are still available for seizure.

"The barbs will probably heal him when I pull them out."  With that, Mario gives another yank at the barbed arrow.

[Private to GM: 18:27, Today: Mario Crowfoot rolled 9 using 3d6.  ST to pull barbed arrow from wounded man (11).]

The man groans as the arrow is yanked out, and he bleeds profusely.
Still in him: a knife, a dagger, a large knife, a crossbow bolt, and On him is Brodak's shield. He is barely resisting at this point.

Re: Near the bone gate

Mario starts to reach for the next nearest protruding weapon grip or shaft, but stops himself.

"Jareth, he seems to get weaker the more weapons we pull out, and he bled a lot more with that one than before.  I have an idea.

"Sound off if you think he looks like dying when we pull the last couple out of him, and I'll stab him with the arrow from my quiver -- that ought to restore him a little, and then the arrow will vanish after a bit."

He reaches up and lightly slaps the man's cheek.  "Can you understand me?  Will stabbing you that way give you back strength?"

"That.. that's genius Mario!"

Jareth sets his kit down and moves back in to grab the rope.  "Let's get him tied, t'em I can bandage him, t'en we can remove t'e rest of t'e weapons, you stab him to make strong enough to survive!"

Re: Near the bone gate

Mario renews his grip on the wounded man's arm, holding it in a position to be tied to the other hand.  "Here, Jareth, put a couple turns around his wrists, tie it, and then use the other end for his feet.  It doesn't need to hold for hours, and he's pretty weak now."
