In reply to Brodak (msg # 422):

They seem more like cuffs, and each has a loop where a chain might be attached... the metal is surprisingly light and untarnished!

"What odd cuffs...may I have a closer look?"

Clarence want to look closely at the cuffs to work out what they might be used for.

The cuffs look like they might be part of shackles... they seem strong and light, make an armory, connoisseur weapons or armor, or metallurgy roll at default if need be.

The cuffs are made of orichalcum, and probably worth about $1500 each!

In reply to Mario Crowfoot (msg # 428):

"I... I don't feel so good. I am Alaric."

His accent seems old fashioned. He may have been down here for a very long time. He also looks like he needs to be half carried.

"Well, Alaric, I'm happy to see you well enough to respond.  Let's see if we can get you on your feet; we can get you to a temple much faster that way than if we have to carry you.

"Ya've missed some time, but don't worry on that right yet.  Get ya upstairs, let ya rest an figure out which temple get ya fixed up at."

If everything appears gathered up and everyone appears ready, Jareth will lead the way back.

"Look lively, folks."  Mario can't resist looking all around, bow following his gaze as far as he can twist his torso and right hand seeking the fletching of his single arrow (ignoring the two silver ones in the second quiver, for the moment).

There is a sudden stench of brimstone and rot.

A familiar, if disturbing, creature manifests.

Its face is marred with an angry purple scar, and one eye is missing. Likewise its unwholesome flesh has a deep purple pulsing band of new warty flesh accross the chest where Brodak's axe had once struck it!
