Heading that way...

And you can smell something foul and rotting from that direction, even through the passage of the spiders...

"Ha, ha, ha."  Mario grimaces at Jareth.  "There was only the one, never seen or smelt or heard of one before then, and too much other stuff going on the past few days.

I do remember it took a lot of killing."

Re: Near the bone gate

"Probably bhole."

To the party, "Like t'e rot worm, but big enough swallow ya whole," and then to Ymid, "giant slime covered worm, burrows under bones of Pnath an t'e peaks of Thok."

He then rattles something off in Eldritch.

A second later, mostly to himself, "Hope is not bhole."

[Private to GM: In Eldritch, "A rot worm is several feet long up to maybe 50 feet.  Several inches in diameter to a few feet at the largest.  Eats dead bodies.  Smells foul, no mind power."]

In reply to Jareth Mooncalled (msg # 519):

"The dimensions specified by my alarm spell were rather large, abd I fear for the safety of the skiff moored beside the gate. Your worms are a little small for triggering that, as they may only be the larval form of bholes... If is is one such, they are attracted to corpses, such as the one you have there..."
