In reply to Mario Crowfoot (msg # 700):

The spoder gets some odd looks as you head away from Junior house. A stray cat hisses at it and the spoder rears up with two legs in the air and chitters at it, prompting the cat to back away.

You pass west through the goblin artisinal district, and the woman with the pie stall smiles as you pass.

Wonder why the Pie seller would smile at us ... doubt she makes pies out of Spoders and Crotch Sniffer is not with us ... have any of you frequented her stand?

I have an uncanny memory capacity for games... not for anything else... just games (and random bits of historical trivia).  And I had to check as I couldn't remember if it was you or Mario... because Mario had started his Junoirs career eating spoiled gobbo pie...

A good question is... how did gwythaint remember it, along with everything else he has to remember to keep these plates spinning?  Now that's a talent.

In reply to Jareth Mooncalled (msg # 708):

The pie seller is indeed the one Jocelyn bought intact pies from, and the one Mario was kind to at the cost of some sweaty time in a guarderobe.

Sometimes I have to review, but Mario's incident remains sharp.

"The pies tasted fine.  Quinzel knows her way around a meat pie.

"Problem is, the pies had been broken when a gang of orcs tore up her pie stand.  I think they were jugger fans, or maybe players.

"Who knew a broken pie could spoil in less than an hour?"

You make your way toward temple hill. In line of sight are the temple of Vejovis, with that of Clementia to its left, and behind it to the right is the abandoned temple of Flora and Janus.

The arachnid seems a little flustered by the unfamiliar sunlight, although not impaired.  It seems to be paying attention to a passing cat, but scuttles closer to Clarence as someone goes by with a mule cart.

In reply to Narrator (msg # 720):

The temples on the hills (they run the length of the city, many are domed and flanked by statues, some are elevated with broad steps and collonades)
Are in a state of disrepair, with the paths leading to them in disrepair.

The basalt entry to the subteranean temple of Vejovis has a marble statue of a laurel crowned youth leading a goat with one hand, and holding a fistful of arrows or lightnigngs in the other.

Accross the way is the white marble portico of Clementia, and a statue of a robed woman with open arms.
