If you used a skill, you can increment it, or buy standard template advantages.
Off-template upgrades require a teacher. May also be spent to extend duration
Of in game reputation increases

Re: awards and development

So I am thinking of taking a likely lass of a Kobold as an ally or henchman.  Do you have a template for one?  I can only find one in Banestorm but don't have all the DF books.  I figure it would max out at 125 points.

The Banestorm template gives:

Kobolds -60 points

Attribute Modifiers:
ST-2 [-20]; DX+1 [20]; IQ-2 [-40].

Secondary Characteristic Modifiers:
Will-1 [-5].

Advantages:
Reduced Consumption 2 (Cast Iron Stomach, -50%) [2];
Resistant to Disease (+8) [5].

Disadvantages: Short Attention Span (9) [-15]; Social Stigma (Uneducated) [-5].

Quirks:
Easily insulted; Love practical jokes [-2].

Offended we are! The people of kob in Northport are goblekin, not so easily distracted,
And possessed of strong night vision, sharp teeth and a better ability to focus.

Re: awards and development

Are kobolds in this world the little dog-faced people type kobolds from older D&D
editions, modern D&D style lizardy kobolds, or the dimwitted Banestorm style kobolds
which seem to be halflings with some sort of mental handicap?

Re: awards and development

In reply to Walter Goldman (msg # 7):

They are proto-goblins, a common ancestor to both goblins and hobgoblins, a little
primative and often virtually enslaved. They have sharp teeth, infravision, small
stature, slightly scaly/leathery looking, and are less easily distracted than the
Banestorm versions. Some naturalists look at them as being cretinous goblins, but
there are plenty of individuals who are smarter and better able to focus. Point cost is
-41 as a base, instead of -60.

Any other changes?  I can't quite get to -41 so I must be missing something.

In reply to Hitomi (msg # 9):

Take the banestorm build,(-2 st, +1dx -2iq,-1 will, cast iron stomach(2), resist food
borne etc (8), easily offended, likes practical jokes, social stigma uneducated,
easily distracted(9) add infravion [+10] and sharp teeth [+1] and reduce
Easily distracted (9) to easily distracted (12) [+7] they also get half poison damage.

In reply to Narrator (msg # 19):

For clearing the winecellars, the group recieves a payout of $100 each,
Voorland being paid under separate contract, and the advance having been spent on supplies. Ronhnie was paid out by Voorland.
The cheap knives axes and armor net $426 to Haskell, and divides out to $85
each, with Haskell keeping the odd coin.
[PRIVATE TO:Christine you got 6character points, the others got about 3 each]

Was that including Chris? Ie, did he get a share, as he is an ally, not an item. Christine included him in the sharing of loot.

When you announced shares, that did not include Ronhnie, an ally of Voorland,
And Chris, who is technically an item of yours.

Re: awards and development

In reply to Narrator (msg # 22):

True. I am sure Rhonnie would have pointed that out.

Christine would argue that Chris deserved a share, as he was there when contract was agreed upon. Maybe not successfully argued that, but point would be made nonetheless. He was a capable combatant in his own right...
