The elder sister loosens her whip from her belt and raises her shield.  "Sling while I engage."

The younger sister stops, keeping some distance, and fits the loop end of her sling to her middle finger while catching the free end between index finger and thumb, letting the pouch hang down.

Her other hand goes to her stone pouch and begins pulling out a river cobble she's carried since before Northport.

The elder sister continues to hold tension on the whip for as long as it will hold against the flame.

The younger sister, seeing her stone do nothing, closes quickly with the flaming being and casts, creating a momentary cloud of water droplets surrounding the flame lord.

Waterjet was recast...did it have any significant effect, or should she try something else?

as the droplets explode into steam everyone in 2 hexes takes 1d-3 damage.

This annoys the flame lord further, and it chucks a fireball at her.  Masugatan passes it unnoticed

Already resistant to fire, neither the steam nor the fireball bother her, and she repeats the effect.

OOC: As far as I know, Elaina is the only one that close (to cast the spell); Evelina's been holding it at whip length (at least until the whip burns through).
