"If you mean if I'm the leader, then yes, but only nominally. I know each and every one here is strong and capable in their area, so why would I want to step on anyone's toes? The better they are, the bigger the profit at the end of the day."

Kalima had stayed with Benny on this particular run, which of course made it easier to deal with the merchant's guildfolk.

Ardenas speaks quietly to Devereaux: "One of our group is a divine demon hunter of the Thousand Gods, about seven feet tall, with three eyes and four arms, and flaming hair.  She's pleasant enough as long as you aren't demonic in nature; she has even tolerated Aloysius, the Triunist acolyte who seems to be from one of the Hells."

"Well thank you for the advance notice - such beings are often mistaken for fiends by the common folk. How might I call her?"

"We call her by her name, Kalima.  She has never suggested any honorific."
