the gate has openings about 3 inches wide,  missile spells are sufficiently large that this is a small target- -5 to hit through it unless the spell is cast with hands through the bars... as it is, it head is -4 to hit on its own.

OOC: Is that a change for DF/DFRPG?  M5 specifically says maintaining a spell "costs more energy, unless you have high skill."  M10 makes it explicit: "Energy cost reduction for high skill also applies to the cost to maintain a spell."  And you've allowed multiple characters to maintain spells for hours at a time in the past under this (Chou-Zhen and Ulo at least that I've seen).

Aldous will nudge the bone out of the worm's ashes with his smallsword, then sheath that weapon to free a hand to pick up and stow the bone.  He finds he needs to unclasp his belt and slip the bone through against the small of his back, and puts down his lantern long enough to do so before retrieving and readying his lantern and smallsword.

It is a little clearer to you now that the glow in the orc's eye sockets exists without the benefit of eyes
and his skin, unusually dry and leathery, with the bone structure showing through the taut skin much more predominantly.

It emanates cold, and its expression is one of unmitigated spite.

as Adolus raises his sword, it seizes its billhook in both hands and brits its teeth, showing darkly receded gums.

The sage steps past you to an outer wall, wherefrom he pulls a rope letting a little of the last of the sunlight into the cellar laboratory.
He grabs a mirror and a lens out from his pockets, and trains the light toward the space the barrel will be opening into.

"Cut those knots and dump it in - you there in the barrel - you will get more of this if you don't cooperate!"

The wight struggles to right itself, and is slammed into the cage even as the beam of sunlight strikes it, causing it to smoke.

Holgien struggles to slam the door, but the wight touches him through the bars, and he starts to get uneven on his feet, and is having trouble with the deadbolt...

The master looks over the relative damage to the wight.

"A pound of silver short by five coins should do it then.
I don't know as I need another wight, but if you can get the heart's blood of a vampire,
and the whiskers of a werewolf I would be greatly obliged...  The reproductive organs of
a gloomwing would be of use as well."

a pound -5 silver is 250 coins, for a total value of $5000

In reply to Sparky (msg # 415):

"Agreed. Will he offer the same price for another?"

We have Sparky, Aldous, Thorg, I and Dagon, whose fee is $90 per day. How many days did we take?

If we give Dagon say $600 for the job just done (which probably took less than a day) then we should have given a significant tip. For future work, perhaps a share is appropriate. $5000-$600 = $4400/4 = $1100 per share. Sound right for all?
