Saishi greets his fellow priest and asks why a priest of Grom has so many followers here.

In reply to Saishi Jin (msg # 3):

Kirpich explains that they have just defeated the tower full of Vampires and were going to the Baron to claim the promised tower as their reward. He had the followers in order to build a shrine to Grom there.

I assume Saishi would know Grom as a good god of Earth?

At the mention of the Baron, Saishi raises an eyebrow, and mentions that there is a new Baron.

"It's true. Pequenaud has been replaced by his brother-in-law, James. He is an honorable man.", Kichiro added.

"The walls you see, in the road and the paddies, were raised to defend against Pequenaud's soldiers, who were sent to extract tribute from this village.  The new Baron, Ser James, assisted us in ending such actions, and we assisted him in resuming his seat in Brouse.

"One of our purposes in returning here is to restore the road and paddies, since the defenses are no longer needed.  Ming-Sa, a woman of this village, and I were able to raise these works in three days, and I would expect to be able to bring them down in a similar time."

The man speaking is, when close up, clearly not quite human, with his bright yellow skin and glossy queue that doesn't seem to be hair.  He arrived riding a beast that isn't quite a horse, and keeping well away from the other horses in the group.

In reply to Chou-Zhen Mou (msg # 7):

"I see. We can possibly help, and moving Groms earth is a part of what we do. If we do assist, could we rely on you to act as character references to the new Baron? I would also need to feed my followers of Grom."

"I would welcome help, as I'm sure Ming-Sa would -- she is a mage, but doesn't yet know the spells of Earth to turn the stone back into soil, or to smooth the road.  If there are more mages who can assist with their energy, the group of us might be able to clear this sooner.

"I, at least, find working Earth to be fatiguing."

In reply to Chou-Zhen Mou (msg # 9):

"I can shape 2 cubic yards of earth all day, and Benny can shape earth too, while Tommy can lend energy. Most of the followers have learnt the words for shape earth to assist also. Balir and Gunther are dwarven men at arms, while Aethul and Hennati are also able combatants. Can we rely on your support to claim what we have earnt if we do assist?"

"I too can shape the earth, so with this many of us, we should be able to rectify the village defences soon. I will vouch that Grom is a good god, though not one from my pantheon, so his servants should also be trustworthy. But he usually has dwarven clerics, no?"

Grom is only rumored of among the 9 million gods, known peripherally to a follower of the Celestial Beaurocracy. Grom is of the earth, and associated wih earth spirits.
