"Only the invader from the surface has been to the island, so I

"Does the invader have a name?  How long ago was this?  What were the troubles?  We did not come here to trouble you, only to find a lost library.  I know nothing of this island."

In reply to Hitomi (msg # 413):

After Fenric translates your question, Angrid replies;
" Kui probleeme kogevad edukalt, võtame teid saarele. Okupant

Fenric raises a brow and translates,
"Angrid says if you win at your challenges, she will take you to
the island. The invader came weeks ago, bearing a hateful sword and was
 followed from the island by flaming skulls and flying death."

"Do you want us to go to the island Grandmother?  Is there a task you would have done?"

In reply to Hitomi (msg # 415):

After Fenric translates for you, she continues.

"you can go to the island only if it is safe for us if you go."

"Forgive me Grandmother for my poor understanding.  We did not come to the depth looking for an island, but only for a library - a place of books, of scrolls, and of ancient.  If this place is on the island then it is there we would travel, but if the place of books is not to be found there then we need not put your people in any danger. "

Gorgath and Stark, accompanied by a clinging troll female, arrive with Aethelbert.

Angrid speaks to Fenric.

"Yes, our Friend is going to see what is taking the wizards so long with their challenge. Angrid wisheds to speak to me and the small one, I suppose she means Aoife."

Aethelbert exists, leaving Hitomi, Gorgath, together with Stark and his new friend.

"Uh.. everyone... this is Svetlana."

I gesture to my clingy new friend and give a half-smile.

The big ogre looks from Stark to the troll. Then back to Stark. Then back to the troll. Then back to Stark again.

Gorgath stifles a chuckle.

Hitomi looks at Stark and his new friend and a slow smile comes to her face.

"Everything, and now it seems everyone, wants to play with you down here Stark.  I don't know how you do it, but this time it better end better Svetlana here than it does for what you usually attract."

She walks over to the young troll wife and stops in front of her.  Pointing to herself she says "Hitomi" and then pointing at Stark she says "Stark will be good to you.  You tell me if does wrong.  Ladies look out for each other."

In reply to kobold (msg # 426):

Svetlana looks at the kobold.
" See Paharat? Mida ma tean testimoodi."
She looks over at Hitomi.
" Hitomi, olete kass isik, kuid sa oled ka naine siis.

While she waits for the others to complete their tests Hitomi takes out her whetstones and gives her long knives a needed touch up.

One of the kobolds seems to recognize a phrase Svetlana spoke.
"No see paharat, I am not goblin, see Kobold."

After looking around and seeing who's missing.

"Please tell me we're not waiting for Syrik."

"Yes, for Syrik, and the mage and priestess, some things just take longer. I suggest you make good use of the time and make nice with your new friend.  We don't want to make her and her kin mad.

In reply to Hitomi (msg # 431):

"Challenges finished, come all see Angrid."

Hitomi packs away her whetstone, sheaths her blades, and follows Fenric.

I nod for Svetlana to follow and I follow Fenric.

"Let's go see what we've won!"

Trying to be cheerful even though my bow is gone.

"So who else outsmarted their task so well it had to be restarted?"

[Private to GM: I know you said the bow was salvageable and I think the troll said something about fixing it, but Syrik is distraught about it.  So if the troll takes it, it's his.  If he repairs it and gives it back at a later time, Syrik will be floored.
