Dne eagerly sits down next to Sederic and immediately peppers him with questions.  Where is he from?  Has he been on any adventures?  Has any unprintable gossip come his way?

"Slow down, my friend," Sederic says, an air of calm about him, "your questions will be answered in time. Do you care for a glass of water, conjured it myself?"
He pulls his water skin and makes to pour a glass for Dne. He looks to his sword and hushes it, shooting a nervous glance at the bird-thing.
"I've been in Northport for a long time, oft trapped in the libraries or sparring cages, sharpening my varied arts. I've been here since the plague, only leaving for small outings over the last few years. Sadly, my obsessions leave me with little time for idle gossip, which is why I've invited you over. The name's Sederic, by the way, and you are?"
He shoots another glance to his sword, pushing it aside as one might do to an annoying child.

“I am Dne Utrotare, an air elementalist.”  In his hideous, unnatural sounding voice, he pronounces his first name ‘nay’.  “And you might say I’m a sort of cleaning man.  I have a habit of clearing out infestations and wiping out filth.  Have you done much dungeoneering?”

"Well met, dne.  I have delved into a dungeon or two in my day. With my studies where they are I feel that is the only viable option I have left. The search for knowledge is never ending and I wish to see what mysteries the undercity holds."
His hand strays to the hilt of his sword, stroking the leather wrapped handle with his thumb the way an addict would caress his paraphernalia.
"I've many questions that need answering, dne, and I am in dire need of coinage. A scholars work is never done, and between my sword play and magicks, there is far more to learn."
Sederic takes a drink of water and refills his cup, offering more to dne.
"Have you any word on jobs through the guild in the undercity?"

Dne gladly accepts the water and slobbers it down.  “I haven’t learned about any available jobs yet.  That’s the main reason I’m lurking around here.  If I learn of anything, I’ll gladly inform you... and I hope you’ll return the favor.”

"I will gladly tell you of anything, should I hear of it. I can see the numerous uses for an air elementalist. I have heard tell that the guild is constantly mapping the undercity, and mayhaps we can find work assisting them. My sword has a need for blood, and of I do not spill any soon, it will eventually sap me of strength."
Sederic eyes the sword with contempt, still rubbing it lovingly however.
"You will have your blood soon enough, Miekka, stay your serpent tongue."

*Aegis steps into the guild hall with bottle of ale in hand. As he approaches the other guild members, walking slowly, he takes off his hood, revealing the face of a man of about thirty. He has dark brown hair that reaches down to his neck, and across his left eye is a nasty looking scar, one that he had gotten in a gang fight many years prior to his membership in the guild. Aegis then takes a swig of ale from the bottle, then places it on a wooden table.

Sederic glances at aegis, smiling in remembrance of the young boy he once knew, time not affecting him as it does other humans due to his half blooded nature.
"Aegis, my boy, there's a seat open for you here," he inclines his head to a seat by dne at the table they are sat at. He takes his bow and quiver and hangs them on his chair, tiring of the rattling of the arrows caused by the air elemental. He unstrings the bow and wraps the cord into a coil and places it in his pouch, tying the bow stick to his quiver.

*Aegis nods and grins* "Thanks, Sederic," He says, as he takes the seat that Sederic had gestured.

*Crossing his arms and leaning back on the chair, aegis kicks his feet up and puts them on the table

"I see the boy i once knew in the man before me! How have you fared over the years lad?"
Fatigue is setting in, from the look on his face, and he stifles a yawn as he drains another glass of water.
"I fear if i dont find work soon, I'll have to go to the arenas to spill some blood," he mutters, partially to himself and partially to aegis, looking at his broadsword again with contempt.

"Oh I've fared wonderfully," He said sarcastically. Been involved in plenty of fights, some of them were tavern brawls, while others were deadly clashes with criminal overlords. It doesn't matter, really, because either way, I win!" *Aegis replies, with a burst of egotism.

"Life in the streets wasn't easy though. I've been ransacked, robbed, and beaten multiple times. But if there're two important things I learned during that time, it was how to fight with a blade, and to always be on guard, no matter who you're with," *Aegis replies as he shoots Sederic and the people around him a glare.

"I'm afraid it never gets easier, friend, we just learn to deal with it better," Sederic says.
"By the way, this is Dne, an air elementalist, he seems to be an alright fellow, and Dne, this is Aegis, he has been making appearances in my life since he was a boy."
He rolls his sleeves up and pulls his gloves off, setting them on the table by his glass, finally settling in the fact that he won't be going anywhere anytime soon.

"Pleasure to meet you, wispy boy," Aegis nods his head, pointing his chin up, as though he were acknowledging the greeting. His arms remain crossed and his feet are still on the table.

"if youll excuse me for a moment, aegis, i must find information of any contracts being extended. I fear this sitting is driving me crazy." 
He stands and slings his quiver and sheathed sword over his shoulder and picks his bow up, using it as a walking stick. He approaches the bar and leans against it, waving the barkeep over.
"What is the word about town, any word on open contracts though the guild?"
He also orders a red wine, sliding the required coinage across the bar as payment, along with a tip for the barkeep.

"Yeah yeah, take your time," *Aegis waves hand away in a shooing motion.

(Note: Dne is an elementalist, not an air elemental.  He’s a flesh and blood human who wears a mask to hide a nasty facial deformity.)

Dne oggles Sederic’s sword, growing insatiably curious.  “Does it matter what type of blood you spill with that?  Because if it doesn’t, there are always plenty of rats around.”

*Aegis, overhearing Dne,lets out a chuckle, then says, "Of course it matters. I've got plenty of people that I want dead, and maybe Sederic can help me out with that," Aegis shrugs. "After all I have a lot of coin that I'm itching to spend. And besides, it's a win win situation for both of us. Sederic can have his pay while I get to rejoice in the fact that I never have to deal with certain people ever again."

Figuring the bartender is busy with their work, he walks sluggishly back to the table, hearing dne's words.
"i haven't tested its boundaries yet, but i do know that most humanoid blood pleases it greatly. i have not yet been desperate enough to test it on animals, a bit of fatigue is manageable, especially with the abundance of alchemists about."
He unslings his weapons again and sits, occasionally glancing towards the bartenders to see if they are trying to draw his attention.
"If business doesnt pick up soon enough, you may yet see your wishes fulfilled," he chuckles."Though I've never been one for meaningless killings, this blasted sword may force my hand soon enough."

Dne turns his attention to Aegis.  “Do any of these people you want dead have bounties on them?”

A bird-like sound escapes his throat as he notices Masugatan approaching.

A scuzzy figure comes up to the table and talks to Aegis.  “Did you say you want somebody dead?  Because if you do, your friend isn’t the only one who can’t wait to sink his blade into some fresh meat.”

Sederic turns his attention back to dne, looking him over, as if sizing him up.
"Where have you studied your arts? Are the any things you excel in? I've been looking to learn more myself, it's a bit of an obsession for me. "
He waves a serving girl over and orders a round for the table, paying the girl and thanking her with a nod and smile. He also requests that she bring him his free bowl of porridge provided by the guild.
"If work doesnt present itself soon, I may have to go find out if animal blood does work. you can join me, if you wish, dne."
