Huey grins at Renolan and Clair. "Good enough. "Right, Beard?" the half-ogre asks, looking down at and caressing his axe.

In reply to Huey Thumper (msg # 7):

"I see that we have light and protection. Now let us discuss my fee.
Like the others, I work for a minimum of 1 silver ($20) a day, and that
includes whatever draft-stage work product that is derived from that day's
work. For a finished product, ink on good vellum, not mere lead scratches on
a palimpset of parchment, there is an extra charge of $50, which covers the
materials as well as an additional day scribing."

Re: Below the Guild

Huey stands by, assuming Mythos is handling this end of things.

[Private to Narrator: My inventory lists 3 silver pennies for $12. Should that be $60? (bringing me to a grand total of $61)]

[Private to Huey Thumper: that is correct, it should be $61]

Re: Below the Guild

"Very well, I am capable of providing enough wages for you to last a week if the need, and your skills, be. Lets us make sure we have what we need for our venture, I expect to be down there for at least 1 day before venturing back, so provisions to last 3 days would be safe. As well as rope, grapnels, spikes, sacks, pickaxes, etc. I have on me all the tools I ever need for my job. I think at least 2 sacks that are reinforced and another for the more delicate items we might find, and about 40 yards of rope each. another grapnel, three or four extra canteens. One hatchet and pickaxe as mentioned. Oh, and a few empty vials and bottles, never know when they may be needed."

Mythos catches his breath "Once we get those items and anything else you all might need we can be off, but take note, besides what I listed anything else might have to come out of your pockets, I'm not made of coins. Its why we are going out in the first place!"  Mythos giggles.

OOC: so I need:

1 grapnel
8 spikes
2 large sacks
1 multi pocketed pack
1 pickaxe
1 hatchet
4 canteens for water
4 empty vials
4 empty bottles
4 10 yards 3/8" rope

In reply to Huey Thumper (msg # 11):

OOC: these goods come at the going rate, the only special is the
pocketed sack, which costs $40.
Renolan has twodozen torches and a vial of alchemical fire, and a long knife;
Strong Clair has a large frame backpack and a crowbar;
Kasmir Al Vasari has a shortsword and a portable writing kit.

Mythos, do you have cash for some of this, or do we need to thin the list? I have a little more than I thought, but not much (<$100).

In reply to Mythos Songau (msg # 23):

As you pass the kobold shantytown, Mythos indicates a passage past a
mechanical room where the water seeping below the guild is pumped out.
The floors are a bit damp, with puddles stretching from wall to wall.

Ardenas follows along behind Mythos, stepping carefully amid the dampness around the pump room -- cautious of his footing.  Wouldn't want to step in a puddle that's much deeper than it appears.

In reply to Ardenas Barehand (msg # 25):

The corridor continues through a couple of intersections. Toward your left is
the torchlight of a guild guardpost, with a porticullis blocking an
entrance to the undercity.
Mythos leads you away to the right, where you can see more cracks in the walls than in other sections. The walls are made of dressed limestone, with
occasional courses of granite.
Ahead there is a bustle of tools clanging on stone, and the voice of
a dwarf and the chittering of several kobolds.

Huey trudges along, grateful for his innate sense of direction in this maze.

This would be Belgar, if he remembers the briefing.
