Re: Juniors

Grasping Mario's arms, Nodwin pulls him into the room, keeping him close to the wall to allow others to squeeze by.

Once his patient is situated, Nodwin murmers a prayer to Vejovis and vibrates a little as he feels the healing power channeling through him into the wounded Mario.

Re: Juniors

As Nodwin lays his hands on Mario, both the knife wound and the older injury from the previous doombrat explosion heal over, and Mario's color improves.

"Thank you, Nodwin.  That attempt at scouting went badly, didn't it?

As he draws up the leg with the slash in the leathers, he frowns.

"Uh oh.  Still can't move my toes, and this knee barely bends, though I can feel everything like I should.  No dancing for me for a while, I guess."

He stumbles a bit as he stands, and a bit more as he takes a step to check the leg.

"Takes my weight okay, but it just doesn't move right.  That's going to slow me down some."

Bending to pick up his staff, he nearly falls on his face, but on taking a firm stance, he finds he can stand as steadily as ever.

"I think I'll still be able to shoot.  Guess I'll be okay as tail-end, unless we have to run from something."

"Secure the hallway first, that explosion will probably bring someone to investigate."

Looking at the door, he shakes his head, "That doorway is a menace to us, it blinds us to half the hallway when opened, and if we end up going that direction and have to retreat, it will be messy.  Can it be taken off its hinges?"

The yard wide door opens into a hallway about two yards wide. Who is in the hallway now, and on which side of the door, left or right, as there is noise (and now light) from both ends.
The explosion was to the left. it has been about five seconds since the explosion.

Slinging his staff (with the light stone still tied to the upper end), Mario steadies himself on the door frame.

"Sounds like time to make some noise."
He limps through and clears the doorway, looking the opposite direction from Jocelyn and Mellaril, then takes a shooting stance, looking as far down the hall as possible for targets.

In reply to Mario Crowfoot (msg # 926):

Three figures with torches about 8 yards out to the left advance.
OOC  range and lighting penalties total -6

Two figures with one torch are about 7 yards out to the right.
Ooc  same penalties

The corridor  is fairly bare, and some of your light is
shining dimly out of the door. The door itself is blocking
the two groups from seeing eachother, and while there is not much other cover, the torchlight is dim enough that one could
hide against the wall and surprise those approaching  if
stealthy enough...
stealth would be at-1, for lack of cover modded by dim light

"Here they come."

Before the words are out of his mouth, Mario has pulled the single arrow from his quiver, nocked it to the bowstring, drawn, and loosed at the figure carrying the torch.  He immediately switches to target the other figure, hoping to drop both before they can close.  Once again, he pulls out the single arrow, nocks, draws, and looses in a mere heartbeat.  Each arrow can be hear striking its target.
