The smooth surface of the bridge seems to have been designed
 for beings without legs.

Dex rolls for all attempting, at -1, -2 for sollerets, +1 for rope

I'll go first... He attaches the rope to his rope harness and with shield and axe ready, starts up the incline.

She looks to see if there is a place on the other side to tie a rope too so they can help them across the bridge.

In reply to Ulo (msg # 921):

Unfortunately the acid polished obsidian counts as worked
stone; it may not have been worked with tools recently, but
at some point, it was.

The landing on the far side has large flagstones, also
polished smooth, but with enough of a gap to anchor a spike.

Re: Trading with Trolls.

Sorsha creates a coil of rope and she sends it across the bridge and ties it around something on the others side and then pulls on it.

[Private to GM: 22:10, Today: Sorsha rolled 13 using 3d6.  Create rope.
22:11, Today: Sorsha rolled 9 using 3d6.  Apportation .
I have a skill of 15 in both.

Johan carefully crosses (or attempts to cross) the bridge... when/if he reaches the other side he will sit down and act as an anchor for the next person.

Re: Trading with Trolls.

OOC:  Depending on how our Narrator interprets the 'minimum 2' part of "1 per cubic yard of earth shaped (minimum 2)" Ulo can make us a nice textured (instead of slippery and sloped to the edges) bridge and still be useful, or require some extended rest afterward.

So... Narrator:  Does the 'minimum 2' mean one has to shape 2 cubic yards at a time, or that the end cost must be at least 2 before skill reductions?

The first would result in it costing 11 FP, the second in 5 FP (after skill reduction).

Re: Trading with Trolls.

In reply to Ulo (msg # 925):

Minimum of 2 fp spent and severe restrictions  to the spell
due to worked stone.  Creating rope is fine, although Stark
is already holding Gorgath's rope. There sre no posts to tie
it to, but the rope could be spiked between the flagstones. Same roll could create pitons for the rope to anchor to, but stark would have to touch them (boot touch would serve) same roll would work.

OOC:  What are those restrictions?

[EDIT]
And looking at her current FP... Ulo would require a rest anyways.

With nothing to tie the rope too, she will tie the rope to Johan  so he can put in a spike or we can haul him back in if he falls.

As the ropes are attached to the spike, Johan rises and goes on Guard.  Don't forget to tie that end too, for our departure.

With Stark bracing the two ropes, the rest of you make it
accross easily, especially as the arriving trolls take up the
ropes as well, allowing Gorgath to cross last.

Re: Trading with Trolls.

In reply to Sorsha (msg # 940):

The city does not quite seem to be  built for creatures with
feet. Slick ramps spiral through a collection of oddly angled
obelisks and off center domed structures. Openings range
from triangulat holes barely a yard accros, to grand
apertures a dozen yards on a side. Some of the stone appears to be obsidian, some granite, and some adamantite.
The o ly lighting is what you brought, and the firefly glow
of many scattered pit people.
