a ruckus at the docks

The ship from the far west had finally arrived, with rare cargoes of spices, tea, alchemical
ingredients and workers from Sahudcome to join their brethren living in Dockside and Redlight.
Another ship from the region was in port as well, having sailed further East and now preparing
 to return to the West.
A fight appeared to be breaking out amongst the stevedores and laborers loading the ship.
Watching this, as he descended from the new arrival was a powerfully built man carrying a studded warclub.
Below, a few men were standing by a Tavern with a sign indicating it was the Rusty Marlinspike. Neither were native to Aral.

a ruckus at the docks

Jin moved with an ease that belied his size, tetsubo slung casually across his shoulders like a laborer's yoke. His leather jacket was open to reveal a heavily tattooed chest, and his leather-gloved hands remained relaxed and loose.

He didn't hesitate, but walked down the ramp towards the docks, calling out to the melee in laconic and heavily accented Aralaise. "Hey. Don't you know whose ship this is? Show some respect."

ooc: Are they fighting with weapons, or is it a fist-fight?

a ruckus at the docks

In reply to Jin (msg # 2):

It is mostly a fist fight, although a few seem to have improvised weapons, like clubs.
There are about a dozen stevedores involved, and it seems that someone's cargo was spilled.

a ruckus at the docks

Jin walks into the fray, grabbing the first stevedore he comes across, from behind, and lifting him into the air above his head. The big man tries to slam the stevedore down on his knee but misses, dropping him on the ground instead.

ooc: All out attack, grapple torso + backbreaker. Grapple succeeds, backbreaker fails.

[Private to GM: Grapple: Wrestling 16. Success. No defense if opponent attacked from behind. If opponent can defend instead, and parries or dodges, then Jin will do something else for his second attack other than attempt a backbreaker.

Backbreaker: Wrestling 16-3 = 13. Failure.

Opponent is dropped and ends up face-up on the ground without damage, Jin ends up kneeling.
