In reply to Jareth Mooncalled (msg # 860):

While no longer attempting  locomotion, the worms bits still twitch faintly.  Within its spilled gut you can see bits of ghoul skeleton, stripped clean.

OOC:  Anything worthwhile from Rot Worms?  Are the ghoul bones valuable at all?

Re: Against  the  Cult

Mario continues scraping at the cobbles, watching each way along the tunnels.  He shifts his staff on its sling to a more comfortable position, worries at the fletching on his single arrow, and turns one way and then another to keep alert.

In reply to Jareth Mooncalled (msg # 864):

The ghoul bones if intact (which they aren't   after the axe work) might have been worth a silver piece, but now only a few coppers at best. The live worm might have been worth something...

Re: Against  the  Cult

"Not worth t'e time haul to a dealer.  But best we move it, Nodwin owns t'ese corridors now.  Don't want any more such things in t'e basement."

Jareth starts to shove it onto the tarp using his staff.

"Hey, we oughts lock that door up t'ere we came from initially.  Don't need vagrants down here."

After the worm is on the tarp Jareth will go to check the door and see if it can be locked, or blocked, or something.

Re: Against  the  Cult

In reply to Jareth Mooncalled (msg # 867):

The initially entered door had been forced open, but looks
like it could at least be wedged. 2 silvers paid to a
carpenter could get it barred from this side, along with a day's labor, and probably barring the door up front, although actual licks would cost about 5 silvers each.

Jareth starts poking around for any lumber to wedge it shut with or anything to use as door jams.

Mario, still on post at the crossroads, finds himself comparing this to nights working guard duty for random shops, where the guards watched each other as much as the door.  No one else to watch, here, and it certainly seems quiet.

There are some of the loose bricks back where Brodak knocked down the archway, and there are knocjed over barrels full of
rotting cuttlefish and cats that could be braced against that
also will be attracting other scavengers, and stink horribly,

The weight of the barrels is considerable, but Brodak can shift them.
Two together should effectively  block the door.
Meanwhile, the worm halves on the taro squirm a little.

OOC:  Any of the barrels in good enough shape to be emptied used for it?  Or would it just chew it's way out?

Jareth will point out a solid loooking barrel and with Brodak's help empty it of most of it's squid and cats.  Then dump the rotworm into it and bung it back shut as best we can.

"We should carry this to t'e main tunnel an go get teh wheelbarrow an a laborer haul it t'e rest of t'e way."
