Doc that was Moosic to my ears!

Thanks for baring with me everyone. I have things running well enough now to keep up with the game though I still have a lot of work to do on the stupid computer. I am a little busy tonight but I will try to get some posting done later tonight or tomorrow at the latest. I am sorry to hold everyone up.

Saying Goodbye

Hey guys . . . my dear, dear friends,

It's me, Joanna. Most of you know that I have been the writer behind Clementine McQueen, Molly Malone, Annabelle Lee, and Jamie Galbraith. I'm writing as Lorena just now because she is the character that I played when we all met shiny and new  way back when in Whiskey Flats.

There is no neat and tidy way to say this so I shall just say it flat out. Maverick and I have been having some difficulty writing together this time around. Rather than continue as a burr under his saddle, I have decided to take my leave of the game. I've been told by Mav that he get PM's objecting to my posts all the time because of the things I do. If I've been an annoyance to the rest of you too I truly do apologize. I've always tried to play fair, be a help to my fellow players, and write with passion for the game.

Save for Lorena who is mine and mine alone, all the PCs who were my characters are still in play. Forgive me please if I have disappointed any of you. Not for the first time, I say from the bottom of my heart that Maverick is among the best GMs with whom I have ever played, and that all of you (old and new) are the most amazing ensemble of writers. I wish the game a great run and all of you long lives in Escondido. If it is meant to be then perhaps we'll cross paths some other place some other time.

Until then . . . vaya con Dios!

~ Joanna

Re: Saying Goodbye

I am very, very sorry to see you leave Lorena/Clementine.  I realize there may have been some recent heated tension over developments in Molly's story but I can't see anything objectionable or problematic with how Clementine's story has been developing.

Are you sure you couldn't stay and perhaps just focus on playing & writing for Clementine?

I hate to see you leave the game.

Re: Saying Goodbye

Sorry to hear that Doc.... but I understand. If you change your mind your welcome to stay or come back.

Okay everyone look, we have all been in games where things don't go as planned. Fact is Joanna was a big part of our re-start (or re-game) Her characters were well thought out and added some interesting plot lines for Mav to work in. She will be missed, but as we all know you cannot keep butting heads with a GM, not in any game. I have quit numerous games because I have dis-agreed with the leader of the pack. You just know when there is that time when you have to stand down.  I'm not saying she was right or wrong but as players we just know when.

I have disagreed with almost everything she did as Molly in regards to the Robert/JJB/Jamie fiasco. It pains me to say that because our time in Q&D was great both In Game and in the times her and I just said Hi in the hiatus of Q&D, she was always there in any attempt of a re-start and always wanted to help. Here was different, for whatever reason it just was.

Let's just move on, not sure how yet because so far her characters where part of every thread but the Stage depot and bank. give us a few minutes (game time, not RL time LOL) to figure it out. If anyone want's to take over Clem, Molly, Jamie or Annabelle please feel free to, Joanna has okay'd those characters. Or if you know anyone in one of your other games that would be willing to do so that would be great.
Clementine is the most important, Molly can be written out easy enuff and Annabelle really hasn't been IG yet. Jamie is a good idea but can be npc'd as just simple Shady Lady muscle.

Again, Joanna will be missed, but lets do what we can to move on and make Escondido as enjoyable as Q&D was in it's prime. Thanks everyone, and a special Thanks to Joanna, you are a great RPOL friend.

Re: Saying Goodbye

I did offer to Doc to take over Clem, but I can understand if that doesn't work.  If any of the other characters seems real important, then I'll look at those too.

Anyone wanna adopt an almost grown-up crippled girl? :)  I may not have a place to live soon...

Re: Saying Goodbye

Hey ya'all, looks like I'm out as well. I just don't like what I'm seeing and really don't see me being here without causing more stress. I hope you all can make it work and have a blast doing so But I am gonna gracefully bail out. Any characters I have here are up for grabs or free to be used, thanks guys and gals and good luck.

Cooling off period

Now I'm as upset about what has happened here today as anyone. I don't know how we got to this point but I think it's time we all take a step back and remember why we game in the first place. Quitting is too D**** easy.

Take some time. Get some sleep. Hopefully we can get this thing back on track.

Re: Cooling off period

I ask thet EVERYONE take a step back, breathe deeply, and rethink everything. Me included. There were a LOT of misconceptions last night in PM's between a few people, again, me included. I am going to try to straighten this all out. One way or the other.

We have all been together far to long to just throw things away now. Let's give it some time my friends.

Well folks, I love you all, but I think we've come to the end of the trail. A couple of individuals have made this completely unejoyable to me. I'm sorry to disappoint you all again, but I've lost the heart to continue with this game. I wish you all happy gaming in the future.

Re: Cooling off period

I'm sorry Mav, but this sucks.  I didn't do anything.  Many of us didn't do anything.  We love you and love playing with you.  And now we're screwed through no fault of our own.  I'm sorry that you chose to let a couple unhappy people ruin it for you, but you ruined it for us.  I love who I play with here, and now its gone again.  I'm disappointed.  And that's all I have to say.

I pray I get to play with some of you out there again.  But I won't do this again.  I won't be disappointed again for something I didn't do.

Love ya, Doc.  Love ya, Cyrus.  Wish we could do this. :(

Re: Cooling off period

Wow... just... wow... I did not see this coming, I did not see any of this coming.  ;(

I am really sorry things have come to this.  I am really sorry that things could not be worked out.

I am really going to miss this game and I am really going to miss playing Cyrus (especially after all the work I put into him).

I was really hoping that some sort of solution or reconciliation or at least continuation would be possible.

All I can say (aside from being very disappointed) is that it was fun while it lasted and I really wish I could have seen things develop and progress.

I enjoyed roleplaying with those I got a chance to RP with IC and I was looking forward to roleplaying with the rest of you later (except later never came).

I wish you all the very best and perhaps one day we will all get a chance to meet & game together again in another game at another time.  Until then, everyone please take care (that goes for the GMs as well as all the players).
