Re: Chi Dee's Gaming House
"Hmmmm," Tarrov said as he digested Malder's intelligence, watching the entrance the the gaming house and tapping his fingers in staccato fashion on the arm of his fine doublet. "Interesting. His own private half-orc army. Nice to have when you can get it. But half-orcs generally aren't the brightest torches in the sconce. Maybe we can use that to our advantage."
Tarrov turned back to Malder. "We want to identify this boy and get him out in whatever way we feel will work best. I'd probably prefer to just spirit him away, if the opportunity presents itself, but if we have to have a knock-down drag-out I suppose that will do too. We've got the drop on them presently, so we need to make that work to our advantage."
The bard glanced back at the casino. "Any idea how many guards are on duty at once? And do the off-duty guards stay here, or do they live other places in the city and only come in to work? I'd prefer the latter. If the former, we could have the whole tribe on us if the alarm is raised."
"It looks like it might be time for another reconnaissance mission." He looked around at the others. "Any ideas?"
"By the by, Malder," Tarrov said, as if just struck with a thought. "What is it that Kindness did to you or yours? You seem very eager to bring him down, and I doubt that eagerness is inspired by a simple desire to remove a blight from the city. Am I right?"
