Couple of quick questions about the current situation.

Zuni wears a ring of Freedom of Movement.  Does that have any effect on the current situation?  Would she be able to move more freely or no?  I'm really not sure myself which is why I wanted to ask.

Secondly, can we see anything through the hole in the ceiling?  Is there anything that....say a grapple arrow might be able to latch on to?

Do you get a 2nd strength check if you double-move? I assume not.

Zuni, I don't think the ring would come into play here.  You're more or less fighting "natural" forces.  Not magic that is directly impeding your movement like a slow or web spell.

Good question on the potential grappling hook idea.  Make me a perception check and I'll tell you.

Selvin, I would actually say yes.  To move you have to pass a STR check.  So if you double move, you'll need to make two STR checks.

I can't remember where we got it from but it was the black goo that did 1D20 damage.  There were 4 charges in a vial so I figured four damage rolls, but correct me if I am wrong on that.
