Re: OOC

If you want to, go ahead.

As far as healing goes, know that while as an Inquisitor I can heal I am by no means good at it. Actually, I'm pretty crappy at it.

Re: OOC

Fortunately, one of my Domains is Community which provides a pretty decent healing ability.  So there's a good shot that Linton will be the Mangy primary healer.

Re: OOC

Oddly, I got not one RTJ for spell tossers.  Well…I did but it was a couple of days after I stopped accepting.

That being said, I am not terribly worried about it.  Most of this AP is fairly forgiving in that respect.  Also, I will be bearing in mind the lack of primary spell tossers and adjusting as need be.

Switch up if it makes ya'll more comfortable.  I would strongly advise however that you do not sacrifice either social skills or hand to hand for spell tossing.  This AP is heavy on those two.  Not really so much on the spell slinging.  I think the teams are fine as is.  But again, that’s up to ya’ll.

I did allude to it above, but I will be changing up certain portions of the AP.  Mostly tweaks but there are a couple I’ll be overhauling.

So you know.  Thanks.

Re: OOC

Oh yeah, and Al here is a two-weapon fighting badass. He'll be going the Brawler route, his weapon of choice being spiked gauntlets.

So expect a lot of bull rushing, a lot of beating the pulp out of the baddies with my hands.

Re: OOC

Got a question, GM:

Do you have any plans for what to do with players who drop out?  I hate to sound like a Debbie Downer, but with ten PCs I think it's sadly likely at least one person will drop in the first couple of months.  Would such players be replaced?

Re: OOC

I'm the inquisitor and another force of both law and good in our group. I serve Damerrich though, the Empyreal Lord who governs rightful executions, judiciousness and responsibility and as such you might find I'm more about law than about good, believing that the laws are for the good of the people.

You might consider me a hard liner, even by Iomedean standards, though I'm less about fighting evil and more about ensuring that laws protect and serve the people and that those breaking the law get what they deserve. Pavar has served the community for years as an executioner, bailiff and judge as well as one tracking down fugitives, be they criminals or corrupt officials. Pavar mostly did this work in the Korvosan territories outside the city itself, serving in town that are to small to have their own officials.

Re: OOC

I can tell there's going to be some friction between Tarrov, Pavar, and Vaddis already, lol.  Tarrov follows the rules he agrees with.  :)

Re: OOC

Well, as long as you breaking the law doesn't hurt people Pavar is likely to just shake his head and move on. His work consists of bigger crime, not someone stealing an apple. He doesn't condone such a thing and will speak up against it, but it is relatively harmless.

8O You only uphold the laws you want to? That isn't lawful, that's chaotic! The law is the law, punishment will be meted out for breaking it!

Re: OOC

Surely you mean that said punishment shall be meted if one has the authority and jurisdiction to do so, no?

Re: OOC

Well, THAT's not very lawful!  Usurping the jurisdiction of the rightful authorities?!?  That's VIGILANTISM!!  Are paladins even ALLOWED to be vigilantes?  *consults handbook* ;)

Re: OOC

No, but he has not been ordained to enact punishment over petty crime. His mandate encompasses crimes that warrant executions as well corruption of people involved in the justice system. If you steal an apple it is not his place to punish you for it. Besides, he doesn't come from a wealthy home, he knows what it is to be hungry.

Re: OOC

Got some eager beavers which is fine. Glad to see ya'll are raring to go

Pavar, I'll respond to the PM in a bit. Just got back in from work.

To answer Linton's question: I am shooting to try to actually finish the AP. So if we have drop outs I will recruit again.

In reply to The Dealer (msg # 51):

I read the players guide but maybe I missed it, how harsh is this place against drugs anyway? I mean the Shingles seem to get away with it fairly unscathed but the rest of the area seems to be held down tight.

Re: OOC

Are you paid up on your vice tax?

If I remember corretly, Shiver is technically illegal. But there are a number of opium style dens in the city where you can partake. The question is one of taxation. If an establishment pays the vice tax, the guard leaves them alone. But the tax is expensive. So those places tend to be pricey, at least in terms of the lower classes.

At the start of the game, use of the drug inside a den is tolerated as long as the den is current on it's taxes. Outside those places, it's a crime.

If you are still working on your PC, please try to have it to me no later than Monday. If you need an extension, please let me know.

Re: OOC

Ah, got it.  :)  No worries.  I thought maybe it was something out of your backstory, that you identified people who looked like Tarrov with courtesans.  :)
