Re: OOC

Lol no, there are over 16 million people here (small country) so no, I don't know everyone :P

EDIT: About the two colors thing, Seagreen ad Goldenrod are the colors I use most for speech on my different characters, just clicked the wrong one.

U bent Nederlands? De familie van mijn vader komt uit Nederland.

:P I've learned some Dutch as consequence.

True, but there are not 16 million gamers, I've found that the gamer world tends to be a close knit group. I figured there was a small chance ;)

Re: OOC

I know, though I have found that for some reason that is less the case here than it is elsewhere, no idea why. Might be just me though, since I loath gaming in Dutch as it makes things sound weird and childish.

@Karga: Nederlands is best een moeilijke taal om te leren. Kun je het ook spreken of lukt dat niet? Veel mensen hebben problemen met de 'g' en 'sch'. En zeg maar jij :)

For all those that don't get it, try Google translate as I'm rather curious as to what it says :P The last part it won't get though, since it'll translate both 'u' and 'jij' as 'you', while they are different in Dutch (the former being a more polite form, common in formal settings)

Dutch is quite a difficult language to learn. You can also speak or failing that? Many people have problems with the ' g ' and ' sch '. And let's say you know (English)

Re: OOC

Pavar I am able to speak it, though I find that my ability with writing it is much better. I have family who live in the Netherlands and so I've picked up the speaking pretty quick. Granted my vocabulary is lacking :P

Re: OOC

Maar ek is jammer. Vir ek nie praat die taal nie. Ons praat Afrikaans.

Which shares the same roots as Dutch but ends up just coming off as someone who is terrible at speaking it at the end of the day as far as the internet is concearned.

Re: OOC

Yep, afaik Afrikaans is based on old, as in 17th century, Dutch and evolved from there, but in a different direction than modern Dutch. I can understand most of it though, at least when written.

Yeah I'm a mutt from the Southern US. Though oddly I'm the only one I know who uses 'ya'll'. We're a dying breed.

Skirk, did you keep the Swarming racial trait, or trade it out? I don't know if we'll ever be fighting in the same square, but it might be cool if we did. :D

Re: OOC

Group OOC threads are up. I will leave this one up for announcements that effect both groups.

Announcement one: I will be traveling over the next two weeks. Shouldn't have much of an effect on the games as I will have wifi and not much else to do. But so you know.

Announcement two: Confession time. I suck with maps. Compounding this issue is my lap top has died and I am now on a tablet. If anyone knows a good rpg mapping ap for Android, let me know. I have yet to find one. And of course this AP isn't really a room by room type. So. I am uploading the game maps into a sketch book program. I will erasing out the bits the PCs can't see as well as 'drawing' in some basic counters to represent PCs and bad guys. This should at least be functional until I can get a lap top again. However it will look awful. Seriously. It's gonna look baby town frolics. So my apologies ahead of time. I just ask your patience while I try to find solutions. Thanks.
