Group Creation Thread
At this point, I have added all of the players to the game.  Use this thread to discuss characters and your group as a whole.  Many of the applications were for smugglers, which is fine, but keep in mind that there may be other roles that need to be filled besides smuggler and bounty hunter.

Once the group is created and all of the character sheets are submitted, we will begin the game.

Well, my idea was the Swashbuckley Pilot/Scoundrel. Part Face, Part Pilot, Part Rogue, All Dramatic Flair and Heroic decisions.

Buuuut. I'm fully willing to change up what I run around as. I have so many character ideas.

I'm quite flexible on a character. I know the group already has a pilot who isn't a super focused pilot, so I can do that, or I'd be happy to fill another gap as well.

Sar'Deth Kast is a Zabrak (Force & Destiny beta) Colonist/Performer (Far Horizons). Personality-wise, she's closer to Malcolm Reynolds then Han Solo.

While not beginning play as a Smuggler, she would likely switch relatively quickly to the Entrepreneur Specialization in order to try being a legiimate freighter pilot, but when that doesn't work (and hopefully Fly Casual comes out), she would go Smuggler.

Much like the other players  though, I'm quite flexible. I haven't had much chance to play at all, so I have many concepts in mind, and would at least like to fill a useful position on a ship as either a gunner or engineer.

Honestly, I'd like you two to do what you want, and I'll fill in the gaps!

From what I understand, we have a Doc, Some Muscle, and a Face that can fly a little?

Howdy! :)

I too am flexible to fill in gaps. My initial concept was a Force Sensitive Bounty Hunter/Survivalist who was trying to track down the last killer of his family and see justice done.

Changing up wouldn't be a problem though. :)

Everyone will be participating in this thread.  The original players may wish to change their characters, so I added the new players to discuss group make-up with them.  Work together to make a group you all want to play.

Sar'Deth is my proposal for a pilot or freighter captain. If someone else wishes to have that role, I have other useful concepts in mind.

GM, is the Unofficial Species Menagerie allowed? I saw someone else wanted to use a species in the FaD Beta, so it seems like there could be some flexibility there...

Fair enough! I forgot that they annouced the Beginner Game.

Actually scratch that about the USM, new idea hit me.

I'm thinking a Wookie Spy - Infiltrator. He grew up sneaking to the dangerous underlevels of Kashyyk to poach restricted game. He was caught caught, and to lessen his sentence he ratted out his black market buyer. The government of Kashyyk sent him offworld and gave him a new identity for this information, but his employer is still hunting him to this day. He'll be a powerful melee combatant, plus some intellect (computer and eventually mechanics).


Unless we don't have a doctor, then I have a slightly murderous droid doctor I'd like to try out. He'd be a doctor, plus he'll have some deception to help get close to his targets.

I'm a little curious; is this a 'battle royale' style RTJ thread, where only one of us new players will be accepted in order to round out the four character party?

Hello, Players! Good to see you. :D

The concept I'm working with is an Alderaanian ship captain trying to handle life post-Death Star. The original idea was a face/pilot, but it turns out I've spread myself really thin to cover a lot of bases. I'm still not sure what kind of ship we'll be using, so I dunno if we'll be smuggling, ferrying passengers, privateering, or what, and don't know where I'll need to put talents and skills. Still, at present I've got a Smuggler/Scoundrel.

Once we can figure out what we're doing, I plan on tightening up my sheet now that I've got a little experience with the game. If it's okay with the GM, I'd like to use a character generator program and post up a link to a pdf for the sheet itself. Making characters by hand in this system is a bit intense for me, turns out.

Heh. Reminds me of a Drall Assassin/Doctor I sent after my group once. That little furball had to be one of my favorite NPCs. If the Drall got in close, it was just lights out for that character.

I also have the beginnings of a Big Game Hunter concept, but that hasn't been fleshed out yet. I love the Explorer Occupation concept, but not sure how it'll fit with this group.

IANU 1 is the ship's doctor droid currently though I could always repurpose him. He's got a hidden past that he's not likely to ever talk about but its greatly influenced who he is now.
