Re: To the Tower...

The stairwell

Ohanzee Shappa:
Ohanzee backs down the steps quickly giving Choppa room to get out of the way of more javelins "No Chaos on them. Well maybe best to leave them alone then, they should put off others trying to get in through the roof like we did. Lucky they'd flown when I came up!"

"They seem content to leave us alone so long as they know we have guards posted."

Standing there shaking a little he looks at the arm "I've no magics to stop bleeding but it doesn't look to bad. I expect one of your warriors can sort it."

Choppa heals himself, agreeing with Ohanzee "Yes best left alone. As long as you're not worried about them creeping down ere and eating you at night. Have you spoken with them? Might make a deal with you if done right."

Henal Longgrass:
Henal goes over to the wall examining it for the signs of a door or something that would open it.

Must have been some way through he for them, bet it wil be what he was looking for down here that should be through there too.

Henal's hand finds smooth rock instead of the expected uneven surface. It reminds him and the others present of the tower above, how an illusion makes it seem smooth instead of worn and weathered.

Melock recognising that it is an illusion touches the wall but despite his best efforts is unable to dispel it.

"No, until they threw those javelins I didn't even know they were more than animals!"

He moves up the stairs again a step or two but not far enough to be seen from above "You on the roof. Do you understand me?"

Henal deciding to take a Thunderbird approach pushes at the apparent door to see if it will move. Surely the Wizard didn't use any magic to go this way?

Rikki has accompanied him down and looks at him Are you sure that is what you should do?

Either unable to pierce the illusion or really coming up against solid rock Henal goes no where.

One of the Storm Bull Black Shields sniffs loudly from just behind the Ranger.

"Youse need a dispel magic charm I reckons...*Sniff*...There's something nasty in there I can tell.... Max upstairs gotta a Dispel matrix, might let youse use it...Might not....Mad as a mad thing he is."

She's built like a Bison, almost twice Henal's height and thankfully smiling "I'll go get him if youse want."

A shower of rope lengths then land on the steps, sliding past Ohanzee's feet like snakes.

Oh dear. Confined spaces again.
Right you are. When we're through the illusion, best let me check for traps. I really don't want to get stuck down here.

Tentatively, he follows Tarnessh; glancing nervously about the surroundings but trying to keep his head steady so not too many others see he's rather nervous.

"Bastards!" Ohanzee mutters under his breath and heads down the stairs fuming. As he goes he mutters to himself though loud enough for Choppa to hear if he listens "Bloody things. They go flying at night which means they must like sleeping during the day. Maybe I'll keep waking the fuckers!"

Reaching the next level he looks about to see that most of the Rangers are not there, all but Salen, Kobal and Bamled in fact.

As he arrives one of the Storm Bull braves comes up from below, huge and rather intimidating she collars a far smaller warrior, shoving him back down the stairs, her huge bulk filling the stairwell as he follows him.

"Come on Max yer mad bastard...Got use for yer charms. Them's lot downstairs have found something. Back in a bit boss..."

Choppa waves in answer, returning to talk to his brother, Kobal and Salen.

Re: To the Tower...

What kind of trouble are they getting into down there without me! Ohanzee ponders telling Kobal "Don't forget the remaining rope in case they fall down a hole and need dragging out!"

"I better see that they don't get into any trouble." he grins "Leave some kumiss for me!" Unlike Kobal though he doesn't rush off, but instead dons his newly acquired armour before grabbing his crossbow, strapping the shield over his back and hanging his sword and axe from his belt.

All the time he prepares his hands shake and his body twitches making securing the vambraces and the greaves more fiddly than normal. Eventually though he is ready and he starts down to the lower level feeling heavy and cumbersome but safe.

"I keep forgetting you can see though Ravens magic. If the tunnel is dark, Indigo can't be that close by." He thinks for a moment, "Taya, can you track him for us?"

"Only if Hoskar points out any traps, before I set them off" She replies, before following Tarnessh through the door.

Walking forward, neck outstretched as he stares ahead Tarnessh can see a long flight of steps going down, beyond the reach of his very bright torch.

None of the others can see what he's seeing and with two more steps he vanishes into the wall...

Hoskar, trusting his friend, tests the wall in front of him and seeing that he meets no resistance follows Tarnessh through...

Amara Brightsky:

As Taya vanishes there's a clatter on the stairs as the large Black Shield warrior reappears, a scrawny brave just in front of her. He's jabbering to himself, clutching his groin and jumping from foot to foot.

"Stinky hole...Stinky hole..." he caws like a deranged bird.

Seeing that the Rangers are planning to go adventuring the Storm Bulls look from one another nodding fearsomely

"Lets root out some trouble lads" and they gather behind to wait their turn.
