OOC number Ten

Here we are

So just a recap on what everyone is carrying

Ohanzee has hide trousers and He carries his trade good split between three bags he carries. In addition to this he carries his lance to probe the ground and has a sling and axe at his belt.

Akala Only his Bone Sword and his Father' Square Shield, though his Knuckledusters still adorned his heavy hands. One javelin.

Hoskar travels with only rope, sword, sling and shield

Peat a Lance.

Salen basic armour, sword and one javelin.

Kobal, sword, hide armour and javelin.

Melock: He takes his axe, bronze kukri, sling and magical sling stones with him, but not his shield.

Amara: so she kept the helmet on, otherwise removing her amour, packing it on thunderfoot, remaining only in her riding clothes. A shield with two javelins and her Axe and a knife plus a small pack with waterskins anything she had that might be worth a trade joined the items she was going to take with her. The silver fish she kept with her in case she fell into the water.

Henal removes all his armour seeing Peat's example. He slings a light bag across his shoulders for Rikki to ride in and takes his sword, a javelin and his shield with him

Akala Stoneface:
In reply to GM (msg # 973):

Only once the Ambush is sprung :)

EDIT: like if we are closing ground and they are aware of us.

I was thinking that the Ambush is being sprung by you lot jumping off the rise and onto the Sables. Amara looks like she'll stay behind throwing javelins and a couple of pot shots from Melock and Hoskar.

I'd suggest that it starts with those still with missiles firing and those without casting a round of offensive spells: Disruptions, befuddles, demoralise etc and all those intent on melee jumping in.

I'll throw some rocks into the fight and cast demoralize, then move to the other side the next round, then.

Re: OOC number Ten

Okey doke, sorry to keep you hanging but will have to post on the morrow as computer is getting hijacked :)

Amara and Henal just waiting on your spells and actions. Amara you have 4 javelins and if Tarnessh casts multi missile on you, you'll have an extra one. What will you be targeting?

Are folks trying to kill the Sable Riders or capture them? I need this sort of stuff in your actions,

The perfect format for me (so that I can cut and paste it to one page for reference) is

Weapons
Spells cast
What you intend to do. Obviously this depends on info given to you and at the moment it's pretty limited.

so

Peat
Lance and Dagger.
Casting protection 2, bladesharp 1 on his lance. Cast disrupt during initial missile attack.
As soon as the missile fire stops he intends to use his lance on his target and if successful will jump down to engage in hand to hand, using unarmed combat. He'll move on to aid his nearest companion if he over powers his target. If injured he'll retreat into the grass and cast disrupt at any Sable riders he can see.
His three dogs will attack the same Sable intending to knock it down and will defend Peat.

No need to repost if you've done something already, but the above (as I've said a score of times) is a time saver for me. lol nag over.

All those who made a successful hide test can take a tick, we'll ignore the sneak as it wasn't needed.

Re: OOC number Ten

Actually multimissile would be awesome!

If I can't get Tarnessh to cast it speeddart, protection for sure. Bladesharp when it gets to melee.

I'll be targetting anyone who looks like they're in charge or marshalling the sables or any imminent threats to my brothers.

Jevalins, then axe/shield
Speedart(or Multimissile by preference)
Protection 2
Bladesharp
Countermagic

14:19, Today: Amara Brightsky rolled 91 using 1d100. Hide.

EDIT:  I just kinda retconned it to my last Akala post.

Henal

Hit one with befuddle first
Protection 1
Bladesharp 2 on Sword.
Cast befuddle on one that is still up after the missiles then jump in with the sword.

Re: OOC number Ten

Moved here and updated :)

Weapons:
Axe
Sling

Spells:
Shimmer in advance
Countermagic in advance
Harmonise
Disruption if he needs range

General intent:
Cast Harmonise on the rider who's mount he intends jumping onto; it it works he should slide/jump off at the same time and be asier to push off :) of course if the harmonise works then he'll not try to harm that man.
Leap onto beast trying strike rider with axe and knock him off. Hopefully a small one stops next to him. He’ll aim to leap/drop right behind the rider and cave his head in, but whatever works, just pushing him off would do so that he can take command of the mount. He has his hand through the twine loop on his axe haft so he can drop it if he needs two hands.

He'll head into the long grass if he needs cover and use sling or disruption.

He'll try to incapacitate as quickly as possible but not kill if they are no longer a threat.

He'll take prisoner(s) if they surrender or offer ransom and keep Hoskar away if they do!

I can cast it the first round, but then I'm moving to the other side, so won't be available.

Just asking a question here, but are these sables enemy sable riders?

Just thought it was worth asking the question.

Re: OOC number Ten

You know what, I really don't want to have this fight. Can we just...not this time? Every time we get an opportunity to not risk death, we decide to fight. How about we just let them go on their way and then we can resume looking for our mounts?

In reply to Tarnessh Listens-To-Silence (msg # 16):

Akala won't care one way or the other- he dislikes Sables, but has been in enough fights to know they can go either way- nothing is a given.  He's basically going to follow the groups lead on this.

As a player, I'm itching for a dust up because- let's be honest- I just joined the game and want to kick the tires on Akala a little bit. :). Having said that, I'm not going to cry if we don't fight either. :)

Admittedly, ambushing a wedding party was probably not what Akala had in mind when he joined up, but, he going with the flow. Besides, his dreams border lines strong armed him into this. :)

Oh you weren't in Corflu. You have no idea how much our respected GM can twist the guilt-knife. Tarnessh is still having nightmares.

Re: OOC number Ten

Fortunately Amara's conscience is relatively clear.
Or should I say Amara the Razoress conscience is clear although the other PCs might start to wonder a little.

I have no problems with killing sables per se, but I prefer the odds be in our favour and that we not be killing potential allies.

attacking a group larger than us with no armour and no weapons is in the definition of suicide...but we're young and despite some object lessons still have a feeling of immortality.
