GM:
The Trading Post
This has been mentioned much over the months, and I remembered last night that whilst Kobal the player was away, both he, Greeshar, Long Grass and Whispers, passed that way and observed it. There was even a cut scene if I remember rightly.
I totally forgot this.
So what Kobal and co saw was a stone/adobe walled compound, not unlike those found closer to Pavis and matching the map seen in the Mostali tomb.
There was much activity with a large group of Impala braves and heavily armed Yelmalions with zebras. Likely the same ones that came to the GFH's recently. They were using it as a base of operations.
Sorry about that.
Kobal you can decide how close you got, I'll allow a sneak right up to the 2-3m high walls. There was one entrance and with a POW x 3 roll you found the secret entrance marked on the map. Greater failed his roll.
I think the party would've probably only gone as close as necessary to determine that it was a large and unfriendly/foreign (ie Yelmalion) force. The group had only just rescued Long Grass, so I don't think they would've taken any significant risks returning the clans.
I did roll POW x 3 in any event, and Kobal did succeed, but whether they would've gotten up to the walls is another thing. Let's say it was evening or night when Kobal and company came upon the compound, so the large force was within walls, and not visible until they got up close...?
GM:
Has anyone bought Gloranthan-Adventures-2-Red-Sun-Rising? Today is the last day of the christmas in July sale. Just wondering if it was any good.
I bought it during the sale, but haven't had time to look through it, sorry.
GM:
And I presume you have all seen that Moon Design is now running Chaosium, and that they plan to release a new Runequest.
If it's good for Moon Design, Chaosium and Design Mechanism, I'm fine with it.
Disappointing that Adventures in Glorantha will presumably be delayed now. On the other hand, having the setting incorporated into the core rules is more convenient.
The end of RQ as a setting-neutral rule book seems an unnecessary restriction though.
GM:
No one even slightly intrigued where the Morokanth got the Mostali gear from?
Mostali are sorcerors. Kobal would not trust such godless magic.
Good to have you back, Akala :)
