Tarosh nods and starts coughing, "I think your right" he goes pale and his legs wobble, "Crap! Hoskar did you say you've got something that might help?"

Tarnessh got washed as soon as he could, and tried to wash Grumpfy as well if there was any water left over. Then he noticed Mordy shivering. "Hey, I think something is wrong with Mordy as well as Tarosh." He pointed out.

Salen Dustchaser:
The acid spray really decimated Salen's shield, but despite the holes it still provided a serviceable defence.

When Kobal checks with Henal and Salen that they are all right, he says to them, "Perhaps you might want to ask Broken Claw to fix your armour and shields.  He repaired Ohanzee's weapon.  Though there is a price, of course.  He should be able to help with Mordy as well, if Hoskar can't."

He goes to groom Black Hoof as much as he can, brushing off any flesh, blood, guts and shit as he can, using his limited water if he must.

Running over to Tarosh, the Seza calls out to the other Rangers "We must put up a tent and I shall try and heal him. We don't have long for he will die within the day if I fail....Salen bring Mordy too."

As she talks Peat, Glama and Leaper head off to replenish the groups' water.

Re:  To Hoofcrack

Ohanzee Shappa:
he looks at the Oasis Folk finishing the nets as he responds to Hoskar but obviously for their ears "though if John Splash doesn't get me a certain stone egg back then there will be big trouble!"

The Oasis folk give no reaction to this, though the Raven brave could swear that he sees the odd smile here and there.

Fetched from the mounts, a nomad travelling tent is soon flapping in the breeze that had sprung up in the last half hour, bringing some respite from the heat of the day. Tarosh is lain on the floor, next to a panting Mordy, joined by Whispers from the Sky and anyone else who wished to observe the ritual.

Pouches are opened and oddly coloured powders of ash, bone and other materials are piled at points around the shady space, when lit giving off coloured, sweet smelling smoke.

"Acacia if you have it...Make a fire just outside to guard against unwanted spirits from the oasis." This aimed at Amara whom the Seza knows to have a store...

Kobal is shocked by the gravity of the disease.  "Wise One, if there is anything I can do, let me know."

To Emesh-Ga, he says, "Lord Captain, you fought the powers of Chaos at the end of the Green.  If you can help in this fight against Chaos, it will save one of your Rangers, and the familiar of another of your Rangers."

Re:  To Hoofcrack

As the tent is erected and severity of those infected becomes clear Ohanzee ignores the Oasis folk goes through his gear and gathers some stuff taking it to the tent. "What is it Whis... Seza? I have some healing herbs if any of them are useful?" and he holds up each container as he describes the contents "Blackseed for creeping chills, Liverleaves if it is some poison that has been eaten, Hairflower if it is the shakes."

"Damned dog. Hoskar! Where are you?"

Ohshit that looks bad.

Even as he's thinking this Hoskar is darting to his goods with an alacrity the braves haven't seen since an incident with warding magic in a certain tomb-cave; fumbling around to return with the last of the cures he traded for with Angelika. He's not as quick as the Seza, though; whose training and compassion seem to move seamlessly.
Waving his skinful of what he hopes will be a helpful brew, he scampers back over in time to hear Ohanzee's herb list. I've got one cure left here too if it'll help. What's best, Seza? If this or the support of my spirit can be of use in this they're subject to your orders and your skill.

Brow furrowed, he bites his lip in concern; waiting nervously to see how, and if, he can help.

Re:  To Hoofcrack

The shaman nods her thanks to both braves "Let us keep both in case I fail in my attempt. At least we know that if I fail Tarosh will be saved."

For the next hour Whispers sits next to Tarosh, chanting to the spirits whilst places white hot hands upon the brave's chest.

As she works the wind picks up, summoned by the Kolati...

Finally he gives a final shudder as the disease spirit is destroyed and falls in to a deep sleep. Next Mordy, in far less serious shape is healed with little effort, though both brave and dog have taken damage to their nervous system which may never be healed.

Evening

The rest of the afternoon was filled with finishing the four large nets, making sure that everyone was cleaned and that the water supply was replenished.

Then as dusk fell and the first fires flared into life the shaman's chariot could be seen approaching, with a small group of Morokanth in attendance.

After cleaning up Whiteblaze and himself Henal goes over his gear making sure everything is packed away for the journey. Then he settles down to play with the cats, though as Blue eye is still unawakened she is less easy to communicate with than Rikki.

He looks up as the shaman's chariot approaches.

"Time for us to move?"

"Tulox told me about flying Chaos creatures to the West. Sorry I didn't tell you sooner, but we were all preoccupied."

He turned to Tulox, perched on his shoulder while he tried to make sure that Cowpeckers were content enough to stay. They would be very useful if the Rangers tried a night attack. "Are the flying Chaos creatures still there? Are they coming this way?"

Ohanzee had left Whispers to do her thing, retreating to see to his rhino and ensure that his gear is all accounted for as he returns the herbs to the packs.

He then sits quietly in the shade apparently studying a small item as he smokes a little weed in his pipe.

Although his life appeared to hang in the balance for a time, Tarosh pulls through the Chaos disease, with more than a little help from Whispers from the Sky. To Salen's relief Mordy also recovers, though the yappy little mutt seems also to have suffered. The Condor brave crouched down beside it and stroked it behind the ears.

"This is what happens when you chew on chaos flies, you daft mutt..."

Re:  To Hoofcrack

Clean at last! Well, as clean as you can be without a refreshing dip in the river upcurrent from the Walls, anyway.

Still sniffing suspiciously at his extremities like a man who's picked up dung; as if he fears a fresh eruption from stench from his fingernails at any moment; Hoskar looks around him, smiling at the sight of the living Mordy and cured Tarosh. He gives a brief longing glance at Ohanzee's pipe smoke, but appears to think better of it, shaking his head vigorously as if to clear it.

That's the shaman on his cart thingy, isn't it? Well someone had best greet him and everyone seems occpied.

He rises and composes his face to an expression of dignified yet happy welcome as the chariot approaches.

The big scarred cat can be spied sat atop a nearby rock, eating what suspiciously looks like meat from the store put aside for the trip.

It knows when it's on to a good thing and isn't going anywhere.

Akala self consciously rubs the scars from their last night time encounter...

Re:  To Hoofcrack

The shaman draws closer, a few choice words making the germs pulling him trot that little bit faster so that he arrives in his own little cloud of dust, partially hiding the group of Morokanth he's travelling with. The three female ones, Sour Claw and her friends, that had traveled with the Rangers are there but the others can't be made out.
