The suspected nest is somewhere along the gorge between the m and H of the Sandstorm Hills. You lot are the red dot. Hex is 5km.

Re: OOC unlucky for some

Malia Rites
Four times Kolat defeated Malia, the terrible Great
Disease. Now Sezings have four rites that they
perform during the year, each of which offers a
lamb and a fawn to Malia. Dates vary from shaman
to shaman, but the rituals are performed in the same
sequence each year. The worshippers propitiate
Malia, feeding her the lamb, fawn, and some secret
things that the shaman supplies. This done, Malia
keeps the four disease families from afflicting Kolat’s
people.
Sometimes a new or rogue disease spirit strikes,
or a disease spirit will afflict an Orlanthi who does
not worship Kolat and the Seven Winds. When
this happens, Sezings have two ways to deal with it:
exorcism or healing spirits. In either case, the patient
lies within a leather hide laid over a leather net, the
shaman engages in a long ceremony , and in the end triumphs
and the illness is gone or fails. If he fails, no shaman
will try again.

Something I dug up today.

For a moment I thought Amara had called The Bat to help us :)

Tarosh fails his hide roll, not quite a fumble, but close. Not surprising considering he's riding a high llama.

So some people do deal with chaos then?

GM:
For me that minutia makes my life easier and lets everyone know where we all are (i have 17 pc's and npc's to keep track off). I can't go on presumptions that you'll just follow people blindly.

Plus it makes the story far more pleasant to read later for us and the many lurkers who follow the game.

Firstly, I do think the more details in people's posts, the more interesting the game is to read.  Better than just posting 1-2 sentence responses.  I'm guilty of that myself.  I'd like to make more descriptive posts, but I'm flat out at the moment...

Secondly, just out of interest, are there are a lot of lurkers?

In reply to Kobal (msg # 5):

I've always expected a fair few lurkers, but I too would be interested to know.

PS: unlucky for me indeed. No joy camouflaging a rhino. Gulp.

PPS: if the thing swoops, speedart and sling (no SR aimning just S/MR). If that doesn't deter the blighter, grab up lance (already close to hand on Ram's back, bladesharp, and take whatever action seems likely to deal with the menace. If there's chance charge it on Ram, naturally. Keeping eyes out for others being attacked to heal if needed.

Four Paws sought cover earlier when we saw the other rhino riders.

There's a fair few people who follow yes. I've posted links on lots of sites and I get mail frequently from people who admire the game and enjoy reading it. Numbers? No idea. I keep most of the threads as number 0 so anyone can read.

Malia is only chaotic when worshipped by Broo.

Her runes are darkness and death.

Folk in Prax give worship to Malia to fend off disease.

GM:
As I said all good. What I meant is to post going from A to B like the others did. The Rhino Riders were some 200m from the outskirts of the group. I like splitting the group up as it keeps you on your toes and facilitates ambushes etc.

I am trying to make my posts a bit more content filled and include the context as with such a big group it will be very spread out particularly as we're not dungeon crawling most of the time.

Forgot to deal with Kobal's camouflage/hide roll.  He makes it - just - with the 20% adjustment.

I don't see why not. It will mean that it engages you in combat most likely.

Re: OOC unlucky for some

Lurkers? Never considered that. Only lurkers I'm familiar with are the large flat things that drop on your characters heads and suffocate them in dungeons!

All my best stuff has been in private threads, too. :)

Big enough to carry a heavily armoured man. Weight wise the same as a Bison.

Bit of confusion IC. The Wyvern was flying over head and has veered off when it saw Tarosh's High Llama. So it moved away.

From my camouflage roll it would have seen Henal too (96% is a fumble I think)...

I should be honest, I haven't been sleeping well lately due to our pets wanting attention at odd hours. I hope you don't mind if I take a break to pull together today.

Edit: also I failed the Camo roll.
09:25, Today: Tarnessh Listens-To-Silence rolled 53 using 1d100. Camoflague.
