Re: OOC unlucky for some

Everyone failed their roll and could do nothing as the creature appeared. Each of those on the rock acting as if demoralised.

Tarosh and Amara included.

Hoskar is oblivious to all this.

You can all act now. Though to avoid running you must roll under your POW x 5. It would be less but Emesh-Ga is bolstering your with his magic.

Am I able to do anything?
Do I have the ability to free the "pure" queen?

You are able to walk, Tarosh has put you in positive pts in your abdomen, though you need a further 5 pts to be on full hp's. Hoskar has a healing matrix.

After you get over seeing the horror appear you can attempt to climb the back wall and release the queen. It will take a climb roll to get up there.

A fail and you can't see anyway up.

Hoskar matey.... if you don't make it you can still march with the Rangers... or fly with them perhaps would be more apt, I'll pop your spirit into one of the bats :P

Re: OOC unlucky for some

How long do I run for and will it give me the chance to see Hoskar down on the floor?

I should have enough Pow to do a healing and give him some healing herbs if I do see him.

That could be fun, Ohanzee: I've never seen a familiar run by a PC other than its owner before. Be careful, though - I've an odd sense of humour with familiars (e.g. Four Paws micturating in my helmet).

...and thank you, Henal: noble thought there.

This is a good time for those who follow him to call on Thunderbird for aid. You might not get any, but he's a War spirit and like Waha a hater of chaos.

Re: OOC unlucky for some

It's something you don't get when playing at the table.

At Kobal and salen, the creature is within jumping distance if you feel like taking the fight to it. With it's long reach you can't get close enough to fight, unless you drop down and try and get close.

Up on the rock you are level with it's head, which is about 3m away.

Leaper needs to be grabbed or the tongue hit to stop him being eaten.

In reply to GM (msg # 920) and Salen Dustchaser (msg # 922):

Thank you. I'm blushing. :)

I'm getting little chunks of ideas: will carry on when I can.

I don't know if it's me being in critical condition or the large quantities of the works of Ted Hughes I've been absorbing lately that's conditioning the vision-posts - I always was a bit derivative and you can often tell what I've been reading recently from the cadence of what I write (e.g. the "Ongar the Unstung" story I told Melock came after a week of a steady diet of the works of Lord Dunsany).

Re: OOC unlucky for some

I went with Salen taking a hack at the tongue in an effort to free Leaper.
If that works he'll look to take that jump to fight the BBEG next time up.

Tarosh I didn't bother with going down the looking for Hoskar avenue, as the beast arrived and Hoskar is not in your line of sight.
