Talking about age....how much time has passed in game?
We were sixteen or seventeen when it started.

There's  a date thread with a calender that i update everday.

It started at the beginning of the year and we are now in Earth Season. Not sure when your birthday is.

Is there a way of converting our RL birthdays into that calendar (assuming anyone would want to)? Or shall we simply choose or randomise it?

BTW, what I wrote IC about Kobal doing down the stairs "as protocol dictates" is just how Kobal as Tada sees things for himself as lord.  Doesn't necessarily mean he thinks others in his retinue should do the same  :)

@Kobal, all those who rescued the Harpy Queen were given a feather by her. Ours are brown to match her plumage, @Hoskar's is white because of where/how he got it.

Is the pool in the Ranger's hall the stinking one or the clean one?

As a reward the Earth Witch will teach you each one spell for free (don't get hung up on costs and that someone else might get a more expensive spell).

You could try and buy a spirit shield matrix. A communication rune roll would locate one. The better the roll the more powerful the matrix.

Then it's a matter of bargaining for the price. It will be made out of Acacia wood if located.

Going to try Spirit speech in case it's a manifestation of a spirit, or just knows the language and Earth Tongue in case it is an earth spirit and knows that language.

It might know something about pulling Ronance's chariot, about a river that used to flow here (maybe it's trapped here since the river stopped flowing) or might just want a friend after all the time alone (but doesn't know it :)

Before we decide to change over I think we should all read the new rules and have a vote. They might suck :).

The new rules are incorporating runes which gets me excited and folk have already voiced their dislike of Passions so we can drop that aspect.

Let's see. I have a feeling we won't have to make major changes if we did. From what I'm hearing online it seems the magic systems especially rune magic and sorcery will be vastly improved.

Personally the only thing I can think of that doesn't work well is sorcery and so far none of our characters, that I know of, us it. I've only ever run one PC that used sorcery and we ended up using a different set of rules for it, I can't remember where I found the rules, it was somewhere on line.

Rune magic isn't great. It needs to be sorted out for initiates, which is what they are planning and I think your runes will determine what you can cast.

I'd always excepted that rune magic is unusual and hardly used by initiates, but you're right it would encourage people to use it more if it was more reusable. So instead of what cult you're in limiting what spells you can know and cast, it'll be based on you're runes? That'll certainly mean a group like the ours has access to a wide range of spells :)

No I think it will be cult as usual but with runes, so no getting a wind spell if you joined Orlanth just through your mastery rune. Will have to see. I have a feeling the game won't be much different to how we're running the game now to be honest.

I'm going through the loot thread looking for something appropriate for Kobal to give as a gift to Kelab Besi.  Anyone have any suggestions?  I was thinking of the 2 gold armbands found in the harpy lair.  Would people be okay if Kobal gave those away...?

@our new players if you have time reading some of the old thread, though not obligatory, makes for a fun read at times and will give a better sense of what has been occurring. They are numbered though I need to fix up some of the newer threads.

Those fighting the Gorp all suffer permanent damage to their leg armour. Remove 1 pt from each lim and from each piece of armour worn there.

So cuirboilli greaves and leather pants? A point off each.

Greeshar has lost his leg and Sand Fox is badly maimed (healable for sure in both cases, though that pretty much puts Greeshar out of commission for a while, except he can still ride.)

And fumble city! Two for Ohanzee and one for Henal. I seem to very rarely roll them to be honest and three in one go is mad.

Henal will need a new set of leather pants to replace the ones ruined by the gorp.

Just glad Ohanzee and Henal didn't end up hurting each other.

Never came back and isn't answering off site. It's the guy doing the prolific Balazaring stuff online so I'm presuming he's busy with that/the game wasn't his thang.

I hate missing time in this game, even though I've sadly had it happen a few times - a week out, and even the OOC thread has 8 pages to catch up on! :(

Trying once more Voras and Sand Fox get across to the island, the deep water only several metres wide at the closest point. There they find Ohanzee, his skin nearly all burnt away and on the verge of death. His hands are clasped together and refuse to budge.

Seems like every time we come to the GFH one of the party nearly dies.

Maybe we need a safer job. :)
