Angelika makes herself comfortable and seems amenable to questions about their upcoming trip and what the Rangers' obligations will be.

She's lain her magical iron spear across her lap and adjusted her furs against the chill...

Melock:
He watches the hyena leave, then heads for Angelika, "We're likely to have more company than that, I spotted a harpy just as Bright Treasure was leaving us, heading towards the Earth Temple." He mounts up and rides alongside Kobal, and with a quick glance round to make sure Angelika can't over hear him, "Emesh-Ga, how close do you have to be to Hoskar to talk to him?"

Emesh-Ga replies sometime later. Even guardians get forgetful in their old age....

"Within the confines of the Oasis should be close enough."

Re: It's a long, long way to Pavis city....

Kobal:
Kobal keeps his face impassive, and says out of the corner of his mouth to Melock, "Why the secrecy?  What did the Hyena say?"

He keeps his head turned from Angelika and grins at Kobal, "Secrecy is always fun. I missed most of what was said, but I get the impression they'll be near us for a while."

Amara:
...she gestured towards Melock with her head "That Hyena shaman is like Melock. Only with us for his own purposes, does his own thing no matter the hurt or strife caused."

Melock turns his head quickly when he hears Amara, "I don't smell anywhere near as bad as he does." His voice becomes sad, "It just shows how little attention you're paying to what I do, if you really think that's true." He helps set the camp up.

"Ohanzee do you mind if I come with you?" He glances in Amara's direction, "I doubt I'll have a quiet night otherwise."

Emesh-Ga:
"Within the confines of the Oasis should be close enough."

He jumps at the sound of Emesh-Ga's voice, "Thank you Emesh-Ga, I was hoping for further, but no matter I'll have to rethink what I was planning."

Ohanzee shrugs then responds to Melock's query "If you like. I've no objection and the hyena top do...top hyena, didn't seem bothered one way or another about you before so why not."

He then goes over to Angelika Snowspear and squats next to her "So what are we meant to be doing when we get to Pavis then?"

"I know that Amara will be initiating, but how long are we there and what free time do we have before you will want us to escort you back?"

"Some of us have some business there that we could deal with rather than returning later to do it. There might be Aldryami Lords there apparently and I swore to find them. There's explaining why we don't have Delenda, and that's just for a start!"

Amara sat at Angelikas feet, glaring at the Ravens as if she blamed them for all of the groups ills. "What is it you wish to do in Pavis, mother of my heart?"

Ohanzees comment seemed to wound her "If you remember, I was there too. We both swore to return the seed to the Aldryami in the Big Rubble. Perhaps enlist their aid in recovering the eye."

"It should be an interesting night talking to them." he rubs his hands together, "I'm sure there's lots of fun things we can do to pass the time." He nods in agreement when Ohanzee mentions that some of them have things to do in Pavis, "Maybe we can get Delenda to come with us, so she can talk to her people?" He carries on smiling at Amara, despite her glaring at him.

Kobal groans inwardly at the last word "planning".  "If you're going to do anything which might cause trouble, let us know beforehand," he hisses.

Ohanzee Shappa:
He then goes over to Angelika Snowspear and squats next to her "So what are we meant to be doing when we get to Pavis then?"

"I know that Amara will be initiating, but how long are we there and what free time do we have before you will want us to escort you back?"

Sitting at the campfire, Kobal listens with interest.  He'd been about to ask the same question of the priestess.  I hope it doesn't smell as bad as Corflu...  But he chips in with his own questions.

"Wise One, I heard that Amara's father searched for the White Lance in the Big Rubble.  Do you know anything about that?  And have you heard any tales of the armour and axe of Emesh-Ga, whom we Wandering Rangers follow?"

Before Angelika replies there is a slight commotion as Henal uncovers the top of what looks like a stoppered earthenware jar under his arse.

"I..."
he starts but is interupted by "Henal" "Oh, looks like Henal has shit a jar!" and intrigued he looks over.

With the already dark day slipping into darker night Talon has joined Voras as he sees to the fires.

He too looks over as Temush offers to check the pot "Strange that it is undamaged out here."

Re: It's a long, long way to Pavis city....

Sat by the fire, apparently brooding or perhaps just staring vacantly out into the blackness of the night, Salen is preparing to light a smoke when Henal suddenly notices something under his ample backside. Hard to miss a stoneware jar, one might have thought, but still. Better leave the smoke until after one of the Ravens opens the jar...

Re: It's a long, long way to Pavis city....

Voras returns his attention to tending the fire keeping it going despite the season and muttering solemnly to the spirit of the flames as he does.

He has been more than quiet since the episode during Sun Hawk's holy day and his mood is darkened as much as he personally has been since the theft of the chip of the falled star from him.

He seems to concentrate all his efforts on the fire, trying to build it up, to coax it brighter to counter the Darkness abut the place.

As Melock goes and sits next to Voras the darkness draws nearer the fire, "I'd offer to help," he points to the fire, "but not really my sort of thing." He scratches at the back of his neck, "Once we get to Pavis, we'll do our best to find out who stole from you and get it back. If they're too big to fight, we'll get it back another way."

I resemble that remark...

Taking that comment from Melock as his cue Salen grins, and then immediately sets about lighting his pipe. Given his skill with the pipe he could probably light it amidst the worst weather Storm Season has to offer. A long pull seems to reach the parts other substances cannot reach, and the Condor brave speaks then in his usual cool, measured tones.

"We shall indeed do what we can to return the eye, Voras. We shall indeed."

Amara nodded to Voras, indicating her assent.

"The return of the eye is a priority. As is the gifting of the seed. I hope we have time to look for the white lance and the axe too, but two weeks is not a long time." Amara said somewhat glumly. "That lunar priestess should be here, so if we run into some trouble with the occupation, we might have a way out of it."
