Re: OOC 18

So, the link between someone and their familiar is secret, a Mindlink, but the chatter between familiars has to be spirit speech between them doesn't it, each has no special link to the other?

In this case they'd have to be shouting familiar to familiar across the spirit plain unless they close the distance and whisper to each other?

And I dare say a Priestess will have their own familiar or allied spirit listening out on the spirit plain chatter.... just saying....

Re: OOC 18

Hmm, good point, Ohanzee.  I didn't think of the actual mechanics of how spirits communicate to each other.  The rules state that spirits can use Spirit Speech within a range of 1m per point of POW.  On the one hand, that means the familiars will have to move close to each other.  On the other hand, it's unlikely with a large caravan that Angelika will overhear, unless she's got familiars spread out across the caravan.

Looking at the RQ Classic rules, I note that there's an update there that states that bound spirits (whether in an object, or in an animal) can't sense the POW of spirits around them.  Seems like we're not playing that rule in this game.

Re: OOC 18

Thats why Dorcha flew to Amara, less chance of being over heard.

Re: OOC 18

In  this game two players could be nearly 10km away and have their two familiars halfway and thus speak to each other.

Pc> mindspeech<familiar> spiritspeech<familiar>mindspeech<Pc

Communication between familiars/boundspirits is their POW in metres. So yes other spirits can overhear if close enough.

Angelika has an allied spirit in her spear. It's called Hailstone.

well, if Melock wants to he can come along.

To be honest, it's precsely because the ravens have a habit of going off and doing their own thing that I'm doing this.

So Amara has been lead a stray by the Ravens?

They're good for throwing at people, though they're too big to use as sling stones :)

If he does, you might need to throw me a rope to get me out of the thirty-two sorts of shite which will close over my head if I have just pinpointed our whereabouts to enemies. In Hoskar's head the noise reminds him of the footfall of the mount be heard in "The Wasted Khan", and if that proves to be the correct interpretation I'd best buy a few lottery tickets.

When you're a teenager, you'll do anything for your friends :-)

Avalarn and Delenda are friends of mine :-)

Most of you should run screaming.

Well done Hoskar :-)

Re: OOC 18

The Rhino is a rare beast found in the Wastes, called a Granite Rhino. Anyone making a Prax lore roll will know this. They are feared by most creatures and are supposedly made from stone, and legend has it that the original ones were created by Mostali.

None of you have seen one before, though you know of people who have.

I suspect when the others find out what my request of Great Rhino was, that we will have words again.

Take it into Pavis and Ginkizzie will nick it faster than you can say, "I appeal to the city ruling council. What? You are the ruling council? Er."
