This will give you approx 4 weeks in Pavis/Big Rubble and will then have you all up in the Northern parts of Prax proper.

In Pavis I'm tempted to throw in some side references to the other RQ games I've played there just as asides, trying to remember who was in those games on RPG.net.

Back to the present, considering where the river originates (Genert's palace or at least the site of) it makes sense that it must carry some of the magic of the place.

That makes sense, though in practice I'm not sure what the effect is. I do know that if it can be cleansed then it would be a massive boost to the efforts :)

Perhaps you should bring back some proof of what has happened.

We can ask the tree for a piece of it, a living piece like a seed or a leaf, a branch or a flower... gotta keep it living then though, maybe regular gifts of POW to it.

A seed would be best as that doesn't need so much looking after.

That would be easiest, but is easiest best, or something with a little more challenge ;)

The Second Age Trading House? Perhaps that was set up to facilitate a route to Teshnos?

I wonder when the Long Nose Tribe vanished? Perhaps they had something to do with the trade route back in the day.

Didn't there used to be 3 legged elephants of mammoths in Prax? I have this very vague memory of hearing/reading that somewhere.

Redwood forest, north of the Pairing Stones would be a good refuge for the Aldryami lords as its an ancient forest or if you want us to travel even further there's High Wood, north of the eastern Rockwood mountains :)
Or going the other way, which would link in nicely  to the trading outpost, the Forest of Glass

There might be remnants in a forest in Pent (can't remember the name) but they disappeared in the dark age.

They can be found by heroquesting.
